Printing to a Plotter

My coworker and I got a nice HP design jet Plotter in our office. it sweet. I installed Adobe Illustrator CS2 on my computer. So I opened up Illustrator and had a really sweet picture of Spider-Man that I wanted to print out, but when I went to print it out, it only printed it like it was a 8x11 picture. I looked in Illustrator to see how to have it print the full image, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I figured since a lot of people are computer savvy, that they would know.
I'm more of a hardware guy than software.

We have no need for a plotter, but we had a call to get rid of some printers and the plotter was one of the ones the dept. wanted out of their area, so we took it and set it up in our office to print posters for the fun of it.
