Arrow Producer CONFIRMS "Arrow" Is NOT Connected To The Films

Green Arrow
The Flash
Black Canary
The Huntress
Red Arrow

That's a hell of a team if you ask me. Plus we've potentially got Jay Garrick (Wishful thinking, that's who John Wesley Shipp is playing) and Hourman.

EDIT: And Vibe.

I say they should just continue on with their own Tv-DC-verse. Would be cool to have Batman exist in the same world. With hints at superman. If they aren't going to connect the shows to the movies, then I don't see the point of not using some of the bigger characters.
If they were to connect the two the best way to do it would be through the Flash series.

They really need to connect them. Arrow is the best DC thing that's been put out.

They need to connect them just so we can get Manu with a better looking outfit in a big budget movie :woot:

I'm not totally in favour of connecting the universes but I'll be damned if they do not aknowledge the greater DCverse...I mean cmon, silly Smallville embargos should be over! Don't show the big guns if you really don't want to (though I'd still like Wayne to appear (needn't be in costume)) but at least hint at supernatural events in Metropolis (or Smallville) and a vigilante in Gotham...

That said...It'd be cool if the Arrowverse worked towards a N52 (don't get me wrong I mostly despise the reboot) JLA (or however they're calling them now)...what I mean is an anti-JL... ARGUS is already established, so they could hire Ollie, Barry, Sarah (or whoever will be the Canary), Vibe, Question (wishful thinking?) to take down this supernatural troubelmakers (an episod with that arc could end with them realizing that the threat was not the JL bu someone else disguised as them).
They could even set up Vibe as the Anti-Barry, making Barry the bridge between what we see and what we don't see (the JL...as Barry could hint at being friends with some 'special guys).

Me too. Other than the Nolan trilogy, I am unable to think of a DC film that is on par with Arrow.

The Nolan trilogy on par with Arrow? That's because they basically ripped off the movies :o

Having a similar tone isn't ripping off the movies. Outside of having Ra's (which was a vastly different one from the movie) and a few minor things the ripping off narrative is just not true.

Also if i'm correct in my assumption Slade W isn't saying Arrow is on the level of TDKT. He was just saying no other DC film is on par with Arrow.

And we have only seen one film. :woot:

I was referring to all of the films that are based on DC characters. Personally I have enjoyed Arrow more than all of them except Nolan's trilogy which is considered my many comics and non-comics fans as the best superhero films ever. If I am being honest, I have also enjoyed Arrow more than a lot of Marvels films too. I really liked The Avengers, the Iron Man films, Captain America 2 amongst others Marvel films and I think they are great, but I think the characters in Arrow are more interesting and I care about them more than the characters in those films. Maybe that is the benefit of having 23 episodes a season over two-three hour films. All IMO of course.

I don't think anyone can deny that the majority of the recent live action superhero adaptions have been of high quality and that goes for the films that I mentioned earlier in my post as well as the shows on tv such as Arrow, The Flash, Agent Carter and Daredevil. Maybe one or two of them will not be to certain peoples liking, but they all have big fan-bases and are well done shows that are of high standard. The majority of these films and shows have been successful and it really is a great time for fans of comics.

I'm thrilled that they are not connected. The Arrow and Flash are nice little shows, they're entertaining enough to keep me interested and they have some good storylines here and there but they are nowhere near movie quality IMO. The writing and the acting just doesn't stand up to the movie productions and obviously the CGI is nowhere near the same quality. These shows are good for what they are but any above average or better movie is simply of a better quality.

Obviously there have been some bad superhero movies, and these shows are better than a couple of those but these shows aren't anywhere near as good as most of the movies. The only superhero TV show that I think holds up against the movies is the Daredevil Netflix show.
