Jessica Alba's on her way

THE film is called the Fantastic Four, but one of its stars will cause the real sensation when she hits Sydney in two weeks time.

Yes, fantastic is a term commonly used to describe Hollywood hottie Jessica Alba and if you ask any Australian male, chances are they'll be quick to drop an assortment of other impassioned adjectives too. Along with her co-stars Julian McMahon, Ioan Gruffudd and Michael Chiklis, Alba will be flying into town to promote the latest instalment of the superhero family franchise - Fantastic Four, Rise of the Silver Surfer.

On May 2, the awesome foursome will be assembling at the Entertainment Quarter to showcase some exclusive "first look" footage from their forthcoming film, which is not due for release until June 21. An exclusive red carpet event and party will follow the screening, held to coincide with the opening of the new Will and Toby's Taylor Square, the Live Supper Club and Lounge Bar.

Fantastic? Thought so.

I was just about to post this cause i saw it on your site maestro.

Should be cool. I'm sure some clips will leak online somehow. and this right before the new FF2 trailer premeires with SM3.

Will the Human Torch make some "Shrimp on the Barbie" ???

Well, now we know that the promotional tour will be starting on or before May 2nd. Woot.

Cool find:up:

Didn't they do a lot of promotion for the first movie in Oz as well?

Yes, they did. They appeared on the usual talk show / morning show circuit. Seems like a lot of productions send the stars Down Under to promote their films, and it is after all Julian's home town. Sort of an added bonus that he gets a free trip back home!:woot:

In 2005, right about this time of year or perhaps a bit earlier, all 5 of them came to Australia. This time, from what I've seen, they'll be without Chris. And they're going to both Melbourne and Sydney.

Thanks.I recall seeing a lot of promotion stuff they did there for the first movie on the dvd. Maybe they're there so much because Rupert Murdoch (supremo of Foxcorp) is an australian?

Hmmmmmmmm......................:cwink:

I'll have my VCR set and ready to go Sunday night here in Oz!!! Yay!! :hyper:

HEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYY AIF........awesome to see you back.....

Maybe they're there so much because Rupert Murdoch (supremo of Foxcorp) is an australian?
I doubt that very much. The reason they, and many other stars, are coming here is that we seem to be a nation of movie goers and many films do serious business here.

By the way, it seems that Julian isn't coming after all and Chris Evans will take his place, although he won't stay for the Logies. I'd love to know the reason behind that. It would have to be a pretty good one for Julian to pull out of a trip home. Maybe he's got something else in the works. Surely it wouldn't still be voice work for the film?

I think he must be finished with the FF movie by now since IMDB listed the production as completed. We know the producers of his film "Prisoner" let it slip last weekend that he was up in Vancouver doing work on the FF movie.

Well, I guess Julian's mother, Lady Sonia McMahon, will be safe from harm this time. The last time the cast was in Australia, Julian's mother's dress caught fire from a stray candle flame at a cocktail party and Michael had to play the hero and put it out before she got in serious trouble!

It's true... Michael told the story on his David Letterman appearance.

Julian McMahon wont be making the trip home for the FF Sliver Surfer premiere because he has commitments to Nip & Tuck that he cant get out of.
