Has anyone here seen this film? It's a 1980's horror flick from Stan Winston. Good tale about revenge and has some great effects.

I used to see it at the video store when I was a kid but never rented it. I thought it looked interesting. I kinda never thought about it up until this past summer, and I ordered it from Amazon and loved it!
I think it's one of those underrated movies that is never really looked at for whatever reason. I say check it out.

As a young boy, Ed Harley saw an evil demon kill a man. Many years later, Harley (Lance Henriksen) and his young son are running a grocery stand in Nevada that is visited by 6 city youths on their way to a cabin. While Harley is away on an errand, one of the boys accidentally kills Harley's son with a motorcycle. Remembering what he had seen that night years ago, and what he had heard, Harley pays a visit to a reclusive witch who helps him invoke that demon - known as Pumpkinhead - to avenge his son's death. As he sees the youths being killed, one at a time, through the eyes of the demon, Harley discovers that a horrific price must be paid...

However, they made 3 more. Pumkinhead 2 was straight to video and ignored the first one from what I hear (I don't want to see it). Pumpkinhead 3 is a Sci-Fi channel movie, which I rented. It's not BAD, but it's not worth watching unless you just really like Pumpkinhead. I have not seen 4.

WoW!I remember this.
I ve only seen the 1st one I saw it a couple of years ago & it was great. Not much of a pumpkin, more like Alien's cousin.

Pumpkinhead gave me nightmares as a kid, and I blocked out most of my memory of that first viewing (my Dad thought it was funny). I watched it again recently, and it's a very good film.

Haha great film. I remember I was blown away by the make-up on the creature. Lance Henrikson was pretty good in it, too.

Yeah I remember this...pretty scary when I was a kid.

I became a big fan after watching.

Two t-shirts, that 18 inch figure I posted above, and the Movie Maniacs figure.

Great revenge film, very atmospheric, and one of the best movie monsters ever. Very strong performance by Lance Hendriksen to pull you into the drama.

Always been one of my favorite 80's movies.

Lance Henricksen returns in Pumpkinhead 4 as the ghost of the Ed Harley character from Pumpkinhead 1. It also has Doug Bradley in it "Who is better known" for playing Pinhead from the Hellraiser movie series.
