I got the first soundtrack (the rock album, not the score)..

anyway, who should be on the new soundtrack album? come up with 15 bands/songs..

Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up

Stonegard- Arrows.

I want metal, hell Slayer even has a song titled War Zone!:unishr:

No one. Just release the score.

I want to hear some heavy f****** metal, ass kicking music when he's mowing down all the bad guys in the most violent way not Mozart! Scores are for Batman and Spider-Man not the Punisher. Watch Shoot 'Em Up, they did a great job to get you pumped when the action hit.:ninja:

Yeah when he taking down bad guys, but all the way through the movie? I would like it when he's kicking ass but I want a theme for him. The metal stuff and the score. A movie wouldn't look good without a score.

Yeah you're right, I guess we can keep his theme song. :ninja:

I don't want to hear any lame ass ****ing Disturb or Drowning Pool music in this movie. Scores provoke emotion, nu metal soundtracks provide product placement for record companies.

Who said anything about nu metal? I don't want to hear any lame no name generic crap band like that band with that Broken song they played twice in The Punisher either. I remember watching the commercials for The Punisher with Rebecca Romijn crying on the floor and the music of f****** Staind, and thinking is this a love story? Then the Punisher trailer had Drowning Pool's Bodies song the one already used in about 5 trailers even Jason X before The Punisher used that recycled song. The only band I liked from that soundtrack was Hatebreed. No emo (Spider-Man soundtracks) and nu metal wuss music (Punisher 2004 soundtrack), they need to go hardcore. Keep the score, just add the heavy $hit during the action scenes like Costa said.:ninja:

Hey allot of you guys may talk **** but I don't give a ****. When all his weapons are laid out in his room and he's preparing to go to war I want to hear some rap in the background. Hmm maybe old school Biggie, or some Ice-t or Cube. Hell yea!!!!!!!

I don't consider hatebreed metal.

I think the transformers movie did a great job with the metal. I didnt know any of the bands or the songs being played during the action scenes and it really amped me up.

As for slayer i think its a little to fast for the movie. I think we need something that will build and build and never get to hyper... i want the movie to flow with the music.

thats why I propose gangster rap. For the slow scenes it should be aappropriate as it builds tension amongst the audience and protagonist..

Yeah and they weren't played in the movie. It doesn't matter if you consider them metal or not it was the best song IMO on the Punisher 2004 soundtrack. I don't mind if they play rap in the movie but not for the action scenes. Pantera, Slayer, Fear Factory, Chimaera, Killswitch Engage, Soulfly, Sepultura, Testament, old school Anthrax, are all bands that kick ass and are Heavy Metal in my book, I could keep going.:wolverine

I say give the Punisher an epic treatment. Give him the best dramatic score composer you can find for a low budget film. If you want a rap or rock song save it for the end credits, or throw it in a scene where a group of gangsters are driving by and have in playing in their car stereo before they get blown away.

I don't recall any music like that in Transformers. All I can remember is Linkin Park.

I'm a fan of Slayer and all that good stuff (got every single Slayer cd), but I reckon sticking thrash metal over a scene where Frank is mowing down a gang of wise guys would just come off as being too forced and consequently hammy.

I want a Punisher movie that takes itself seriously and does not try and be all tough by having a metal soundtrack because it would just end up feeling tacky.

Punisher does not enjoy what he does.
It is not 'cool', and Punisher does not think it rocks.

I want Punisher:WZ to present Frank Castle against the cold sombre backdrop of a real city and dealing w/ real organized crime in the un considered and brutal way only he knows. Not Frank Castle wiping the crooks out in some spazzy MTV style metal video.

I think a score is way to go. No soundtrack please. It don’t have to be some orchestral snooze fest, it could be menacing up tempo electro stuff like The Terminator soundtrack. That was a great score.

Strength of the world: Avenged sevenfold. listen to the lyrics, its perfect for the punisher.
