I was thinking they need to work on making the villains a little more threatening for the next film. The Decepticons were pretty much getting their asses handed to them throughout the whole movie (aside from the forest battle). None of them really seemed like much of a threat - especially the "heavy hitters". Devestator lasted about 2 minutes. The Fallen was even worse. Talk about a disappointing and inept main villain(I think Grievous from Star Wars put up more of a fight!). He could have been so much better.

One can only hope there are extended scenes on the Blu-ray release but I highly doubt it.

I was expecting more from Long Haul Mixmaster and atleast an appearance of Barricade.

Will there ever be a balance? lol We complained that the Autobots were getting owned easily in the first TF and now the Decepticons are getting owned easily in ROTF.

Money. They cant have a 15 minute long drawn out battle, in between other robot fighting. Id cost too much.

I don't think the villains were pushovers at all. Megatron struck me as pretty capable in combat during the film, especially for someone who had just come back from the grave, and the Decepticons as a whole were definitely a threat.

The Fallen held his own too, and was certainly a threat with his ability to teleport, his magno-whatever power and his intentions, until Mega Optimus took him on. And even then, Prime didn't take him down right away. He was obviously not meant to be the physical threat everyone assumed he would be, but more a cerebral, backstabbing type. I've never seen another version of the character, so I don't know his capabilities, but it seems he's powerful, moreso than most Transformers, but not THAT powerful.

Maybe I was just little overwhelmed by all the stuff going on during that final battle, but The Fallen's final appearance was fairly weak. He got destroyed by Optimus in about 30 seconds, I know Optimus was on JetFire roids', but still would have liked a little more fight from the "mother of all Decepticons"

They could have saved some money by cutting "the twins"...
Yes, they could've. But not enough to create long drawnout one on one battles. Maybe enough for ONE....but the villians just had to be taken out.

They could have cut down the final battle with all the no-name decepticons a bit to make room for The Fallen. Or maybe have the Fallen show up sooner. This guy's supposed to be the main baddie, the leader of the decepticons, the guy who's name is in the title, the guy that's face has been on the posters, and he ends up lasting but a few seconds before getting absolutely pwned in his "epic" one-on-one battle with prime.

Devastator should have been called Excavator.

They could have done alot of things dfferntly. I wish there were more named decepticons. I remember in the cartoon they always used each other names so you knew who they were. In this movie Everyone except Megs, Starscream, and the Fallen were like throwaway decepticons.

Long Haul (the green truck right?) was shown blowing a hole in Ironhide and Mixmaster turned into a cannon blowing **** up. Awesome! But yeah they could have been used more.

Bay had stated that the Fallen was supposed to be an apocalyptic figure, the devil of the TF. I was going with what he promised and was left disappointed.

I'd rather have the villians be stronger, it adds more drama.

He kind of was. That would have been it for The Earth, had his plan succeeded. He's called "The Fallen", he's the birth of all evil in the Transformer lore, the Decepticons all seemed to look to him for evil guidance...

The execution admittedly wasn't great, so I can understand being disappointed on that front, but I think Bay pretty much delivered on his "devil of the Transformers".

I must admit, the movie was quite enjoyable for it was, but I just hate the designs of the Decepticons. They basically had the same color scheme, and aside from Megatron, Starscream, and the Fallen, no facial features. That's one thing I loved about the G1 cartoon. You could tell who was who, and the decepticons were bad ass. The military was kicking their ass, something that would've NEVER happened in the G1 unless they were fighting G.I. Joe. I really didn't think they needed the Auto-bots help at all. And Devastator was LAME !! He looked like a walking Junkyard. I would've have loved to have heard Megatron yell out " Constructicons ! Merge to become Devastator !!! "

I completely agree. Otherwise it's a Superman movie where the villains are the underdogs - it's just not as exciting.

The deceps were not powerful yea.. Optimus mildly handled 3 of em at once...
but they were scary enough! When they slammed Sam onto the ground my heart skipped a beat!

yep exactly my thoughts, in the first one the decepticons seemed unstoppable and prime and the autobots seemed um puny.im quite alright with the way things turned out on this one
