I don't know if there's a thread for this already but i couldn't find it. I have been watching this show for awhile now and i got to say one of the best TV shows ever! The acting is awesome, the stories are great (and funny). Why did this show only last five seasons?

Scott Bakula as pregnant woman was one of the greatest things I have ever seen. :p

Or when he was a beauty pageant contestant:lmao:

I watch it on Netflix instant play they have all the seasons

doesn't he end up in heaven or something in the last episode. Like right at the end. Something weird happened, I can't remember

doesn't he end up in heaven or something in the last episode. Like right at the end. Something weird happened, I can't remember

He got to leap back to when he came across Al's wife when Al was in a POW camp....she thought he was dead and remarried, Al always loved her...so Sam leapt back into someone, went to her house and told her Al was alive and would come home

I remember Quantum Leap Week during it's first run, quite ambitious for a network at the time, even more so it was NBC, and that event I want to say ran twice.

At the end. The bartender tells Sam that he's (as in Sam), & always has been, in control of the leaps. He can go home anytime he wanted too. But there's so much out there that needs fixing that Sam realizes he can never go home. The bartender tells him "God bless you" for making this sacrifice and Sam leaps back to ...

when he came across Al's wife when Al was in a POW camp....she thought he was dead and remarried, Al always loved her...

............................................................................

so Sam leapt back into someone, went to her house and told her Al was alive and would come home

Sam's body, mind & soul made the leap. Before it would be just the mind & soul. His body would remain in the present day 1999 time chamber. When he leaped into a person's life. That person's mind & soul leaped back to Sam's body in 1999. In the finale, Sam's body goes missing which made it harder for Al & company to track him. So in the end. It seems that Sam can leap as himself to whenever without actually taking over a person's life. So of like Journeyman. Damn you NBC! :cmad:

The finale airs next Wednesday on the Ion channel.

I know people are leery of films based on television shows, but Quantum Leap could be adapted into a great movie.

I don't think so....it's a tough concept to introduce and resolve in that kind of timeframe....in the show you really don't get the whole idea until 4 or 5 episodes in

It really doesn't need to be resolved, I'm not talking about a one-shot film. It could easily be a franchise.

I would agree, Scott Bakula IS Dr. Sam Beckett, I could see no one else in the role. It's not like he's on his deathbed though, he could easily do multiple films.

Always loved Quantum Leap & wished that there had been more of it.

For the sake of fun, Imagine an Unrated & Uncensored Quantum Leap that would of had Sam leap into the body of a female porn star now Sam would have really been going "Oh Boy".:hehe: Dirty aspects aside I think it could have been turned into an interesting story since he would be there to save her life in one way or the other.

Without making light of the WTC tragedy a Quantum Leap story could be worked into a scenario such as that.

Just watched the one where Al and Sam switch places for the episode. Sam has some of Al's personality hilarious!

I loved this show. I'm glad they didn't go this direction back 2005:

Quantum Leap movie filming in January?
Posted by Clint Morris on November 5, 2004

Over the past couple of years theres been plenty of rumours, speculation and wishful-thinking concerning a new "Quantum Leap" movie or series.

At one stage, it looked like there might be a new series in development, and then a potential film, both without original stars Dean Stockwell and Scott Bakula.

Today, a ray of hope for those that dropped tears when reading that last report.

Dark Horizons reports that Dean Stockwell and Scott Bakula will star in a new "Quantum Leap" feature (I imagine for Television?), which starts filming in January.

"Starting sometime in January, Don Bellasario is making the new "Quantum Leap" movie currently using the working sub-title "A Bold Leap Forward". It's tipped to start out as a two-hour TV movie with a series to follow pending the movie's results.

The two hour feature is rumoured to have Dean Stockwell (Al) looking for Sam whose leaps they can no longer track. Al finds him but loses him again, so he gets Sam's daughter to go looking for him. Scott Bakula is tipped to randomly appear throughout the series starting with the movie".

Another source tells the site that "Sam's daughter Sammy Jo will be used in the movie. She will be in her late 30's leaping to find Sam with Al as her guide after finding out that Sam is her father. Sam will be 50 and his daughter will be in her late 30's, and yes it will still have time travel in it as before."

This show just gets better and better! Just watched the one where he leaps into a Chimp.

Season 1 and 2 been out at Wal Mart/Sam's for 19.99
