Folks, I've been wondering, is it a given that, at the end of a story arc they're going to make it into a graphic novel? The reason I ask is, there's only going to be four issues of Batman and Son, and I'd gladly wait the four months to just get it in a novel format.

I would think so, but I guess that wouldn't be a very big novel. Is there a reason you'd wanna wait that long? The issues shouldn't cost you more than about 12 bucks if you buy them separately.

And does anyone know when we'll get Part 4? DC's website says Batman #658 is written by Dini.

EDIT: Must me a typo. DC #824 has the same synopsis and writing team, and is also called "Night of the Penguin."

Oh, and even if the arc is only 4 months long, you'll be waiting another 2-4 months for it to finally hit TPB.

Well, see I like getting graphic novels instead of comics. I kinda don't like being left in suspence for a month. That's why I like having the whole story in front of me. But from what Ccon said, it looks like I'd probably be waiting longer than expected anyway.
