I was told by a family friend that since my HDTV was in the box upside down it would not work correctly. He said I would have to wait at least 24 hours before it would work.I set it up before I went to bed.I have not turned it on yet.Is there any truth to what he said? I have been looking on some sites, and there is nothing that says anything remotely close to what he was telling me.Thanks for any help.

I have NEVER heard that before. What kind of HDTV is it?

Never heard of such a thing, I think it's safe to turn it on now though.

You have to put the Plug in the outlet upside down for it to work properly too.

:hehe:

Only if you have a plasma TV. Those are supposed to be in the upright position. If they have been laid flat for an extended period of time they need to upright for a bit before use. This was a general rule a few years ago, not sure about now. LCD TV's don't have that problem.

Plasma's are still like that. I bought my dad a plasma last year and it said on the box to keep it upright. LCD's can be flipped any which way and still work properly.

Thrown down a flight of stairs even.

I don't know. If you have an lcd monitor to spare give it a chuck and let us know.

You should put your friend in a large box and then turn it upside down for 24 hours before letting him back out.

YES!

And be sure to put the plug in his sphincter upside down for it to work properly too.
