...just how many times have they been released on DVD and which are the definitive collections?

These cartoons has been release many times on DVD. They are public domain so that is why you see it everywhere. which are the definitive collections you say......:supes:
The ones I am listing are the Definitive Collections.

Collection 1:
Superman Classics (REMASTERED) This is the one came out this year and includes tattoos
Collection 2:
Complete Superman Collection (ANNIVERSARY EDITION) Came out in 2000.
Collection 3:
Superman (UNRATED VERSION) Came out in 2004
Collection 4:
Superman vs. the Monsters and Villains Came out in 2002
Collection 5:
Superman vs. Nature and War Came out in 2002
Collection 6:
Superman Vs. Nature & War/Superman Vs. The Monsters & Villains (SLIM PACK) Came out in 2006

Any other ones are not definitive collections. The last three you need to know this. The ones came out in 2002 have 8 episodes each missing one episode Electronic Earthquake. You will come across some that has this episode on it. My copies doesn't have that episode on it. I am getting rid of them because I have the first one that I listed. The last one has all episodes on it. All other DVD minus the ones from 2002 has all episodes on them.
Which one would you need to get? Either the first one or the last one. But I would choose the first one before I get the last one. The last one wasn't transfer right and may not look the best. I got the first one and all episodes plays BEAUTIFUL..............:supes:

Any other collections out there are cheaps ones and has a white square around the screen during the title. It costs a dollar per volume but you will miss one episode - Electronic Earthquake. Why? Don't know. For some reason this episode seems not on two volume sets for some reason.

I already have two discs of these old Max Fleischer beauties, and I feel stupid buying yet another definitive collection (and I buy too much of this stuff as it is).
