Comics Question about "Wolverine: Origin"

At the end of "Origin", Wolverine accidently stabs Rose when he was about to kill Dog. After that, we see the death of Rose and Wolverine's decent into an animal. But what happened to Dog? Thanks in advance.

But what happened to him right on the spot? Why didn't he come back and attack Wolverine? Do we ever hear from him again in any Marvel comics?

Umm... he lost the fight. He didn't come back and attack Logan because Logan ran off. No.

I always thought that he was, just because of the hinted connection between Dog's dad and James’s Mother, and it would explain Wolverine's and Sabertooth's relationship quite a bit. Course, it's just as possible that he's not Sabes too, I just found the explanation enticing.
