Okay, first of all I have no idea where to put this topic. Either in Batman or Superman boards, but here seems safe. Any ways, my story.

Recently I've been getting in touch with my childhood again and bought seasons 1-4 of Batman and seasons 1-3 of Superman. Now, I'm going to eventually jump onto Batman Beyond, JLA, and JLU. But for now, I want to ask questions about Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman and Superman: Doomsday.

About MotB, is it really worth my time? What do the average hype members think of it? Does it fit into the continuity universe of BTAS?

Now Superman Doomsday, is this any good? Does it fit in the same continuity of STAS or is it kind of just a spinoff? How big of a part does Darkseid have?

Considering adding these two to my collection just curious what you guys think. Any help on Justice League: The New Frontier would be appreciated as well.

I can't answer on Batman but Superman/Doomsday is a different continuity than the Animated series. A PG13 take on Supes where the characters are similar but completely separate in history and so forth. That said, a good movie. Worth the watch, I think and the whole Death of Superman documentary is great.

Superman:Doomsday isn't part of the DCAU continuity same goes with New Frontier, but Mystery of the Batwoman is. Now, as I haven't seen it, I can't speak from personal experience, but it is generally considered the worst of the Batman DTVs.

The DCAU is comprised of this:

Batman: The Animated Series
The New Batman Adventures (This is volume 4 of the B:TAS DVD set)
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (DTV... sort of)
Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero (DTV)
Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman
Gotham Girls (web series)
Batman Beyond
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (DTV)
The Zeta Project
Static Shock
Superman:The Animated Series
Justice League
Justice League: Unlimited

Mystery of the Batwoman isn't horrible, but it would slate it behind the other 3 Batman DTVs. It's different in tone than the other films and is OK in its own right. It seems you're just starting to venture into the DCAU, so I'd recommend you grab some of the better stuff first. MotB isn't at the top of the offerings.

Superman: Doomsday is pretty good if you don't go in expecting a recreation of the comic storyline. A worthwhile pickup if you're a Supes fan. As mentioned, it's a separate story out of DCAU continuity and there's no Darkseid.

I'm greatly looking forward to New Frontier.

I've been following the DCAU virtually all my life. I've seen every single episode of every show (BTAS, STAS, TBSA, BB, and JLA) but I started to lose interested around JLU back when I was like 14 and didn't think superheroes were cool anymore :whatever: But yeah, just looking to get in touch with my childhood :)

Also I have a question about JLA seasons one and two, how many episodes per set? And how many seasons are there of JLU?

There are 26 episodes in each of the first two seasons of Justice League; 30 minutes each, with the format being two episodes (sometimes three) forming a complete story (i.e., A Better World, Parts 1 & 2, Starcrossed, Parts 1,2 & 3).

There are 4 seasons total, with the latter two boasting 26 and 13 episodes respectively of Justice League Unlimited. Here the episodes are usually self-contained.

Really good stuff here.
