Quicktime 7 help...?

I've been trying to watch Quicktime trailers for a while now with the same issue coming up- even though I have downloaded QuickTime 7, the actual download is not occuring.

All that show up are icons I can't DL from. Any help with this frustration would be duly noted.

Have you tried d/l'ing the files from another browser like Firefox? IE does some really strange things with downloads.

1. Try firefox and compare it
2. I noticed you are using IE 7 (which is not the original IE with XP), try reset IE settings. (Did it work before you upgrade to IE 7?)
3. After installing firefox and resetting IE 7, reinstall the latest Quick Time
4. Check your firewall, have you installed a new firewall recently?
5. Consult your administrator if you are accessing it using company's resources

I can't seem to watch trailers on Apple.com the quicktime logo with a question markshoes up when it tries to load why is that?

Your Quicktime install may haven't installed the browser plugin properly or could have gone corrupt. Uninstall Quicktime and the reinstall it completely (be sure your web browsers are closed when you do). See if that resolves the issue.
