I doubt she'll be swept under the rug. Who knows, maybe maggie could do some sort of scene, since we're already getting young ras.

how do you think dawes should be treated?

I don't want more of her than Bruce talking about her in some scene. I definitely don't want Maggie to return.

I would be kinda curious to find out what was in that letter she left him...
(that was just kinda left hanging there at the end of the film)

What are you talking about? Alfred read it after Rachel's death. Don't remember the exact quote, something about her loving Harvey, and how she was going to marry him, and that she would always be there for Bruce, but as a friend.

Ra's will throw her corpse into the Lazarus Pit and she'll come back as The Red Hood.

Probably the same amount of reference that Bruce's Parents got in TDK... which is none!

IF she is mentioned... it will probably be Alfred making reference to her as Bruce is pushing himself to his limit.

But yeah, her story is definitely done.

OT maybe, but IMO, Maggie was even more annoying than Katie Holmes. Or at least equally as annoying. She's kinda the "Kirsten Dunst" lite of Batman.

I agree Oscorp, I've never liked Maggie as an actress. Her scene with Harvey the "He's a friend by the way, tryyyyy to be nice."

*shudder*

With Catwoman in the mix, I'm sure a nameless mention of her is the least we'll get.

Their relationship was lacking so much anyway...

Nolan and Goyer tried to go for that epic, first love/meant to be together vibes... and failed miserably.

The kiss between Christian and Maggie was just freakin' uncomfortable. Nolan's bat-films have NO sex appeal at all.

Cue Hathaway... :woot:

I hope.

Rachel will be swept under the rug - after the urn carrying her ashes falls off the mantle and the resulting mess is cleaned up by Alfred.

Her death shouldn't be brushed aside as it was extremely important to the story at large: it caused Harvey to go insane thus leading to Batman's current predicament as a fugitive. Also Bruce was in love with her. Love isn't something you can "sweep under the rug" and go "oh well ho hum. ooh look sexy catlady in leather!"

It would be very Odd for her not to even get a mention.

Exactly.

I expect Rachel will get some kind of nod in the movie. But I don't see her getting an actual flashback, unless they use footage from one of the previous movies.

I expect Alfred and Bruce to have a discussion and her name comes up, same with Bruce and Selina.

Well... There was a Ms. Johansson in Nolan's The Prestige

It wouldn't be that odd for her not to get any mention in TDKR. Maybe I'm drawing a blank, but I don't remember there being any mention of Bruce's parents in TDK, and I'd argue their deaths were far more important than Rachel's. I have nothing against a mention of Rachel btw, just pointing out that there doesn't necessarily need to be a nod to Rachel.

In regards to a Rachel flashback, I'd be pretty annoyed if they gave Rachel a flashback in this film if there is no flashback with Bruce's parents. They deserve a few more flashback scenes, especially Martha. She had like two lines in Begins, which is disappointing because in the comics she's given just as much attention as Thomas, if not more.
