This is a simple question.
Do you usually have a bias for your race in a competition, sport, etc?
For example, in a boxing match, will you root more for the white guy (If you're white), the black guy (If you're black), etc.

I do it, sometimes, without even knowing it.
Do you?

Nope, but I admire your honesty.
If anything I've noticed that I'm biased on the side of Japanese people because I think their culture is superior to everyone else's.

I'm mixed.....
So confused.....

not at all...it usually for who's hotter...

well it depends, i tend to root for the black chick because I am a black chick...but not just ANY black chick, she has to be similar to me in like every way possible short of being me...so, it has more to do with a selfish sense of entitlement rather than some racial sense

No. I root for the athlete I like. It doesn't matter if they are black, white, hispanic, asian or whatever race they may be. My favorite football player and real life hero is Jerome Bettis and he's black and I am white.

Nope. I don't care what color, debatable features, gender, physical aspects, etc. . . . an athlete is or possesses.

I enjoy watching the best period irregardless of this.

So far, in all of the intergalactic hostilities I have had the misfortune to be a part of, I have proudly shown a bias for the human race in all of them.

I have no racial bias. Everyone is equal. I sometimes favor people of other races over people of my race. Not because I look at it racially but I look at it reasonably

Would you care to explain your backing of the Gleex invasion while you were in school, then? :cmad:

I voted yes because EVERY race has racial bias imo

In Boxing most white guys suck so I don't root for them. Only the good ones. Speaking of which, that Holyfield vs. Bates bout was a joke.

I do in boxing. I always root for the American. If it's two Americans I'll root for the Mexican-American.

Oscar is my fav.

^That's because, like I mentioned before, white dudes suck at boxing.

Oscar better not retire after that last win of his. His pretty face can use a couple of more punches.

But he is!
A pretty boy with an iron fist. And one of my favorites.

Hell yeah I'm bias. I'm filipino so I root for Manny Pacquiao. When I see a random Pride Fighting match between an Asian and a white guy, I'll go for the asian. Everyone does it. Your example was perfect. If you see a random boxing match between two random fighters of different races and you're of them, you're gonna go for guy of your race.

As a hockey fan I follow teams, but also the sport itself. I'll watch a game regardless of who's playing because I enjoy the game. I catch myself rooting for some of the black players because there are so few of them. Is that weird?
