Not all Muslims are terrorists or bad people, some of these extremist terrorists give Muslims a bad name to the point that American get very racist and ignorant. Islam teaches peace not war like every other religion.

Regardless of the race/religion/ethnicity/nationality differences; this is ******ed. The character is said to have lived in France his entire life, thus making him French. Also, this Batman thing isn't about finding a Captain America-style representative superhero (which still wouldn't disqualify a Muslim, and this would be just as bigoted then), which makes it more confusing.

I will say this, I can see how a person with a French, uh, ethnicity(?) would be a little bummed out about not having someone like him in a Batman book (because it's not like Batman's going to run into a French Batman in an Arab country), but to turn it into anything more than a slight letdown is, well, stupid.

Ever since 9/11 in 2001, it's been going on. Their justification for the bias is 9/11, which is total ******** because not all Muslims are terrorists.

Also, US military killed lots of innocent Iraqi's and Afghani's, They're no better than those terrorists.

You mean other than wearing uniforms, being trained on how not to intentionally cause collateral damage, and being under orders from a recognized government, then yes, they aren't any better than the terrorists that perpertrated 9-11....

I would like to say, it's generally accepted that soldiers killing people during a war is a little different than what is classified as a terrorist attack. For instance, it would be worse if I, as an American, walked into a Muslim school with a bomb than if, during a military conflict, a school was bombed while fighting. Obviously though, that's up to significant moral and ethical interpretation as, ultimately, people are dead either way.

In short though, let's not get too fired up about any of this. Yes, there is prejudice against Muslims in America. And yes, it's horrible. Unfortunately, there's prejudice over pretty much everyone, everywhere, in the world. Irish hate the Northern Irish, Jews hate the Muslims, and Muslims hate the Hindus, etc, etc. And it's all a shame. But we mustn't get too, well, fired up about it because that just creates more hated and anger. Which is the problem in the first place.

Ignorant white Americans have been hating on all kinds of minorities since this country's inception. White people are a very ignorant majority in America (I'm white okay). The sad thing is that anytime something overtly terrible happens that is perpetrated by a minority (racial or religious), white people are the 1st to condemn. It makes me ashamed to be white!

I used to think similarly, but there's those kinds of people in every race..

It's just "white" people generally live in stronger media outlet countries, so we hear about it a lot more.

But on my personal opinion, I think is a great idea for the france batman and has potential to carry a story where he would have to stop muslims from doing something wrong just as much as he would have to stop the frenchies!

Both sides have wrongs being done, and it'd be nice to see the minority spawn the hero first!
