since the "Oscar push!" thread has become sort of the awards discussion thread, i thought it'd be prudent to start a thread that tracks the nominations/awards that TDK garners.

Get back to me when TDK has one something significant. Which will hopefully be a best supporting actor award for Ledger.

I remember trailer editor won in some award show I forgot.

pointless post...considering the thread was meant for all the awards won by TDK...you could have just done something clever...like...not post

here here Caleb, and thanks for the vote of confidence..and i totally forgot about the Golden Trailer, nice catch.

essentially, if its an award or nomination and TDK is involved, it goes in here.

great thread! Looking forward to seeing the list grow...what is next in terms of award shows? When are the Golden Globes?

BEST SUPPORTING PERFORMANCE
Gary Oldman
Awesome. It's great to see that Gary's getting some recognition for the astounding performance he gave.

And Byron.. these awards were voted on by the fans THEMSELVES. While the Academy might be the more "important" awards, these awards are decided by the people, as opposed to an elite group of movie makers in Hollywood. Personally, I care more about the votes of the former than the latter. :o

All but one of those I voted for got the award. The one that I didn't vote was Best Line, I chose "Why So Serious?!"

Cool thread, it will be nice to see all the awards this masterpieces has won.

Don't know if it is an award. But man, Empire's Magazine giving it #15 movie of all time, in their top 500, and the movie had only been out a few months. Shows the impact of this movie.

But good job dark.

oh well i corrected my post...back on topic though...I think Ledgers got the best supporting actor in the bag

To reiterate:

Get back to me

Get back to you? WTF? Does this thread have your name in the thread title? Is this thread being addressed to you? NO! If the Oscars are all you care about then just come back then. Otherwise, stay out!

thanks Solidus. and i'd think that TDK being the 15th greatest film of all time is an award in and of itself.

and Bat-Mite, i agree with you. I'd love to see TDK win at the Oscars (the "prestige" awards) but its great to see the fans having their say

That was a landslide, and only the first of many to come. It should reign supreme at the Saturn Awards as well.

One something?

Indeed. You've never heard of it? One something is the act of oneing in the past tense. He one the game. She one the fight.

It's commonly confused with won, which is the first integer occurring after zero. Won, two, three, four, etc.

;)

Oscars (I think):
Best Actor- Heath Ledger
Best Director- Chris Nolan
Best Adapted Screenplay- (I think Iron Man may get a nod here too)
