The Amazing Spider-Man Raimi Talks Carnage

Other than the pencil incident nothing the Joker does is overly violent. The outrage came from numpties

Eh, burning a man to death on top of a pile of cash?

Filling a mentally ill man with explosives?

Putting a knife into a gangster (Spawn's! :) ) mouth and killing him with it?

The pencil trick was the most visually graphic

the others happened off screen

lol why the heck did spawn die instantly after having his cheek cut with a knife? seemed a bit lazy

Regardless of whether or not Carnage does happen to be in SM-4, the movie would still be fun. I just try to enjoy whatever I get without being a harsh critic, which seems to be a craze these days with everyone. Do this and not that, make every character deep and emotional, ground them in reality, give him or her dimensions, how they relate to other characters...why be so picky? These movies are to be watched by suspending your beliefs in everything logical and sensible. Plus, there's no such thing as impossible with how you go about adding depth to the story or its characters, you put effort in it, you'll get good results.

Raimi should be outlawed from using the word "symbiote" after what he did to the character of Venom.

Haha there were NO rumours about May ever becoming Carnage, I can't believe some of you felt for that. It's just some bull$h!t invented by nerds on forums.

Carnage is overrated. All he does is kill people for fun. That's it. That's his only motivation if you can call it a motivation. There's not even an explanation on why he kills people. He just does it. Yeah, what a great story huh?

We got the same people who want Carnage so bad are the ones who thought Raimi screwed up Venom. I want to know what makes them think Carnage would get treated any better?

yeah for awhile though (around the buildup to spiderman 3) he just kept calling it black suit. booooooooo!

That is amazing. I knew nothing about this rumor until now :lmao: That's golden. :hehe:

"Your Uncle Ben loved you, and he wouldn't want any of us living with reveeeeennnnnnngeeeee.... *Carnage transformation*

*Velociraptor scream*

LOL!!

and imdb sucks!!

If Raimi had to be begged to use Venom for Spidey 3,a character he didn't understand or care for, then I don't think there's any way in hell he'd even consider Carnage for any of his films. Brock/Venom have alot of great concept, depth and story to them. Carnage is just a brutal killer, nothing more.

It's not like there aren't people who want to kill just for the fun of it. These are the people whom if given power, should be feared most. People with great power and no responsibility, are the reason spider-man exists.

^^Beautifully put.
Too bad Raimi can't handle him, nor do I want him to.

I think it's more a case that Raimi doesn't want to handle him.

Not that I can blame him. Carnage is a terrible villain.

:whatever: There have been much worse things done to Venom, just look at the short lived Spider-Man Unlimited cartoon.

it was a black suit for a long while in the comics. It wasn't until a bit after Spidey returned to earth that it was identified as the symbiote or even sentient for that matter.

My guess is Venom will be released under this new "Marvel Knights" banner that Punisher:WZ was put in for.

Apparantly that's their "Marvel: Rated R" bit, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Ghost Rider 2 in this.

Anyway, do a Venom film here, make it R rated, and how could you resist doing the Carnage storyline? I mean, what else is really known as far as the symbiote storylines go? This is the big one.

Venom: Maximum Carnage

I'd go see that.

Can't... control... inner fanboy! Must... resist... critism of the 3rd film... can't... hold back... any longer...

NO! NO! NO! After Venom had been done so horribly NO! Especially if Venom isn't going to be bulky in the spin-off. Why make a spin-off where Venom is a goody two-shoes anyway?

:whatever: There have been much worse things done to Venom, just look at the short lived Spider-Man Unlimited cartoon.

Oh well, as long as there has been far worse things done to a subject or character, by all means, that makes it totally different, and gives Sam and Co a COMPLETE Get Out of Jail Free Pass. :whatever:

For crying out loud, do you have any other "apologies" you want to make for Dearl Ole Sam Mrs. Raimi? I know Mother's Day is coming up, but Geez, give us a break on the love of your son here. :woot:

The point is, and continues to be, these type of behaivors shows Sam did, does not, and never will, understand the character. And showed a total lack of professionalism if he even "hints' at the defense "I was foreced to use Venom". To his credit, he has only hinted or implied that, to this point to my knowledge. But IMO, he should take the bullet on this one and in no way try to pass the buck.

HE fell short on the characters of Venom/Brock/Symbiote/Black Spider-Man. He, and HE ALONE... should take full responsibility, wheter it is a truely shared blame or not.

:whatever: Just no pleasing some people. If you don't like his directing so much, boycott the films.
