I finally got Chewbacca, and Boba Fett this week, talk about great figures!
I have always loved Ralph's early designs of the Starwars characters, especially Darth Vader which was the first I got, now I have them all, I think, Darth, Boba, Chewy, and the Stormtrooper.

Starwars figures are great 'cause of the detail, and to make figs for so many of these characters, like the guys that are just in the background for a minute's so cool, I love that they do that with these figures, I have always loved and respected that about the Starwars line.

A few years ago they came out with a Mcquarrie Stormtrooper, but the one they came out with now has more detail than that one, I think the other one was out around 2004. I love the look of this early Stormtrooper, with the lightsaber and shield, so cool.

And Darth looks so wicked, I've always loved that design. He comes with 2 heads, the one that is off to the side looks better, and Boba has 2 also, the one he's wearing looks better and more like the traditional Boba, the other head has like the top part of the Boba eyes, but with a three circle mouth piece thing, and he's all white, so funny to look back on what might have been, and to make figures for it and to celebrate this great artist and his work is superb.

If you are a fan and haven't got these yet, you have to add them to your collection, they are so freakin' cool!

The Mcquarrie stormtrooper that was released thyis year is the same one that was reloeased with the AOTC stuff....it just has better paint apps and maybe different accessories...but it's the same sculpt....

Also of the 12 they are releasing they have already released 7 (I think)...the 4 you have already plus a C-3P0/R2-D2 pack that was a Star Wars Celebrations Exclusive, an Obi Wan/Yoda pack that was a SDCC Exclusive and a Luke Starkiller that I thnk was Celebrations Europe Exclusive......

I have them all but the Luke......they are also doing a Rebel Guard, Leia.....I actually don't know what they are all doing, but I know there will be 12 when it's all said and done

The entire series is supposed to be, according to rebelscum.com:

Stormtrooper
Boba Fett
Chewbacca
Obi-Wan and Yoda
C-3PO and R2-D2
Luke Skywalker
Darth Vader
Starkiller Hero(Leia)
Snowtrooper
Han Solo
Rebel Trooper

I have the Stormtrooper(old version), Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan and Yoda, and C-3PO and RD-D2 so far.

I grabbed the only Darth Vader at Wal-Mart two days ago, I feel good about it. :p

I want this...

imageload

I had that Stormtrooper, and this new one is not the same sculpt, it's slightly bigger, different proportions, and yes better detail and paint. Even the head is a different sculpt. Totally different figure.

I have the Stormtrooper, Boba Fett and Darth Vader. I didnt get the Chewbacca because i didnt like the figure. I have never liked Chewbacca very much, and i dont like the concept design at all.
I do really want to get the Snowtrooper, not only because its a really good figure, but also because i really like Snowtroopers. However i am preoccupied at the moment spending every waking moment trying to buy Darth Revan...

Yep, I love these and have all but the last three since they ain't out here yet. These are the first SW figures I've bought in quite some time...I did a good job keeping up back when Kenner restarted the line in '95 or '96, but when it became clear they were going to make figures of EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER WHO WAS EVEN NO MORE THAN A BRIEF FLICKER IN THE MIND OF THE JANITOR AT ILM, I said "Screw it, gimme more of these Beast guys trying to pass themselves off as Transformers." :oldrazz: I did also pick up the General McQuarrie figure, too.

However, these buggers also got me kicking myself that I didn't pick up any of Galoob's Action Fleet Series Alpha sets too - these were the 2-packs from about 10 years ago that included one of the SW Action Fleet vehicles from the original trilogy, and a version of that same vehicle based on the original McQuarrie/Johnston sketched concept of it.

The McQuarrie line certainly has been the hot talking point Hasbro Wise this year and has brought alot of collectors who'd turned away from the 3 3/4 inch line back to the fold.

I must admit I hadn't picked up many Hasbro SW figures in the last couple of years but I bought the McQuarrie Chewbacca and McQuarrie Vader recently. I love the Chewie figure because it's particularly detailed and hope the line continues.

I'm not interested in getting all the figures in the line, but I would like to add the Snowtrooper to my collection, would also be interested in Fett and the Stormtrooper but haven't seen them anywhere and not interested enough to hunt for them.

Shoot...I knew I picked the wrong fig. I was sorta torn two days ago when I saw the McQuarrie Darth Vader, Starkiller Hero (???) and Pre-Cyborg Grevious. I dug, Grevious' desert warrior look though my heart was on SKH but since I generally had no idea who the Hell she was, I went with Grevious. Great fig but I was terribly dissapointed with the articulation on the arms. Awful.

Could someone post a link for this McQuarrie Boba Fett?

starkiller hero, was basically luke and leia merged . orginally the hero of star wars was leia starkiller. ( i think anyway)

Hrmm...This McQuarrie guy was the original conceptual writer of Star Wars???

i have no idea. but i think this was like the first draft of the idea or somthing. those suits starkiller and vader are wearing in the statue above, were going to be for a lightsaber battle on the side of the deathstar in space ( i think ) as well. so orginally vader wasn't trapped in his suit.

Concept artist that made all of the concept art for the movie. All of the McQuarrie figures are based off of the art that he made for the original trilogy.

And here's a link for the McQuarrie Fett figure:

Still haven't seen the Concept Starkillerhero yet. Afraid that I'm going to miss it, as the local Wal-Mart, Target, and KB Toys have all already gotten the wave its in so far, and I'm not sure whether or not any of them are going to get it in again. So unless I find it at TRU eventually, I might have to trade for it.

I just saw a Star Wars set called Special Forces or something which consists of black armored Clone Troopers called Omega Squadron and Mandalorians. I really am considering buying it just for the additional Mandalorians to go with my Boba Fett. Plus, there's a female Mandalorian in the mix. Good colors on them too.

I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever see Bastila Shan in fig form...I'd even take Juhari and Mission Vao at this point rather than Revan.

If you got the original trilogy boxed set they interview Ralph Maquarrie on Darth Vaders look. The initial description that Lucas gave him was a dark shadow that floated between ships. That is he could fly via the force. So McQuarrie gave him a space suit with a cape, logical really. :cwink: And originally Anakin Starkiller and Darth Vader were seperate characters. There is a McQuarrie drawing of Anakin and the twins, and another with Anakin fighting Vader. Lucas called them the light father and the dark father. That's where Darth Vaders name comes from. It's bastardized Dutch for dark father.

I haven't seen a single one of these at stores. Absolutely rediculous, making them short packed. As it is, the only time I've seen ANY of them were the newer Stormtrooper and Fett, locked behind the counter at a comic shop. When they were first announced last year I was excited and figured I'd get them. With them being shortpacked it makes it impossible.

I've seen a Vader at TRU. And perhaps a Stormtrooper. Not Fett though.

there is a concept stormtrooper still sitting on the pegs at the kb i work at from 2 weeks ago
also we got a figure ive never heard of, i think it was called a darktropper, there wasnt room on the shelf so its in upstock right now
and is general mcquarrie a concept figure or in this line?
we got him too

Concept Vader's are extremely common around here right now. I saw 7 at TRU, 3 at Target, 2 at Walmart, even 3 are K-Mart. Fett seems to be the hard one. Glad I already got one :D

I keep seeing the Dark Trooper. I kind of want it, but it's just so obscure. It was from the first Dark Forces game (which ran in DOS).

Also from comic/book series and is in Star Wars Empire at war's expansion as a unit.

What the hell. I have 2 Wal Marts, A Toys R US, 3 KB Toys, a Target, K Mart, and 3 or 4 comic shops that carry Star Wars toys that are all within say 15 minutes of me. I have never seen any of these, anywhere. Bastards.

I was the mad house that was TRU today and saw 2 Starkiller hero figs.

yeah, that's where I found one today, along with plenty of Darth Malaks and Revans. I didn't realize the concept Snowtrooper was coming out before the concept Han though, so now I'm going to have to immediately start looking out for it.

I've seen the concept Snowtrooper twice (both times at Kohl's) but have passed on him because i'm really only concerned with the "main" characters.
