Hulk, then Superman, then Batman. Haven't seen Dredd, ASM was horrendous and you left out the equally abysmal Ghost Rider-Spirit Of Vengeance.

    Ghost Rider 2 wasn't a reboot.

I finally saw it and I have to say that I agree with you. It is a competent action flick, but there is nothing special about it and the constant slow motion use to represent the drug got annoying quick. It reminded me of the endless Die Hard clones we got in the 90s.

I did really like Olivia Thirlby, and thought she gave the best performance of the film. Karl Urban made for a good Dredd as well, but Lena Headey seemed bored.

Yes, it was. Ghost Rider had different powers, a different personality and a different origin. That is a reboot. I know Cage reprising his role may have been misleading, but he is the only thing the 2 movies had in common. Why do you think they gave it a more comic book title, like with all the other Marvel reboots?

It was a redesign like Transformers 4, not a reboot.

According to IMDB and Wikipedia, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is a "stand-alone sequel", whatever the heck that means.

Its very close between MoS and BB, but I voted for MoS because I liked that upon first viewing were as BB it took me a few watches to appreciate it:

    Man Of Steel
    Batman Begins
    Dredd 3D
    The Amazing Spiderman
    The Incredible Hulk.

Though I do like all of them, so non of them are bad, but thats my order.

Who cares? If that thing got any votes, it would either be from a troll or Nicholas Cage.

Batman Begins = This is how you reboot.

Man of Steel = It did a great job bringing Superman back. I can't wait for MOS 2

The Incredible Hulk = I thought it was a huge improvement for the character , but could've been better with more of Norton's input.

The Amazing Spider-Man= I think much better performances and less camp make this an improvement over Raimi's trilogy. However they didn't do such a great job with the story.

Dredd = It was decent , but people seem to overrate this film.

    1. Batman Begins : They finally made a good movie. Only took 5 tries.

    2. The Incredible Hulk : Huge step up from the worst comic book movie ever made.

    3. The Amazing Spider-man : Easily the best Spidey movie to date.

    4. Man Of Steel : First decent Superman film since Superman II.

I have to be the only person who likes Ang Lee's Hulk. Loved the story and the father/son, father/daughter dynamic of the movie. I was engrossed by the story so wanted bothered that Hulk wasn't tearing up ****. I also like TIH. Am I allowed to enjoy both movies equally?

That said, The Avenger's Hulk is easily the best incarnation of Hulk in live action form.

So Ang Lee's Hulk was worse than Catwoman, Batman & Robin and Superman III and IV? Really?

Ang Lee's Hulk may not have been the Hulk film we wanted but it was still an interesting take, and what happens when you take risks with a franchise but they don't pay off

You are not alone, I still love Ang Lee's Hulk and while I did enjoy TIH, it doesnt come close the Lee movie IMO. Search for the thread "I still love Ang Lee's Hulk" and you will see plenty of people in there loved it as well.

There are parts of Ang Lee's film that are good, but it's completely destroyed by all the brooding, and dreariness. The best parts of the films are when hulk is running around smashing stuff.

It's hard for me to watch though, because the Hulk effects pale compared to even the 2008, film, and compared to Avengers where Hulk is one of the best CGI on film characters (up there with Gollum, and the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park). Part of the problem is they made Hulk way too big, but the other problem is there's a lot of scenes where he looks like a cartoon character among human actors ala Roger Rabit.

You can like whatever you want. Why let anyone else dictate that? I'm only speaking for myself. AngHulk is the worst because it took what I consider to be the best comic book character AND the best run of a writer on a comic ever(PAD) and just totally bastardized PAD's ideas.

I agree that TA is the best the Hulk has been in live action so far. I'm still not satisfied though. I won't be until the truly get the character right, which for some reason they seem reluctant to do.

It is for me because I don't give the slightest of ****'s about those characters so if they get bad movies it's no skin off my nose. Hulk in contrast is my favorite fictional character in existence. Obviously this is all subjective and I never meant to imply anything other than that. AngHulk is without ANY doubt the worst movie going experience I have ever had in my life and I've seen thousands of movies in my life.

I'd been waiting for a live action Hulk movie for nearly 30 years at the time and for it to turn out that bad on the first try is an experience I doubt will ever be topped in regard to it's awfulness. No other film will be more hotly anticipated or a bigger let down.

The biggest thing that pissed me off about Ang's film, is it's about Bruce Krenzler, not Bruce Banner.

Hulk not being his own talking, acting character aside, if I had to pick one single element that I hated the most it'd have to be the nano-meds. That's just Star Wars prequels/midichlorians level of brain asphyxiated ideas(since I can't use the 'R' word any more around here). Trying to explain Hulk's powers with quantifiable science is just all kinds of dumb. It has always been and should always be left as a mystery. That's the best choice when dealing with something so outlandish.

Well in that case I'd put CR at #1 as well. Even BB doesn't hold a candle as far as I'm concerned since CR doesn't have Katie Holmes dragging it down and the action is all vastly superior.

    I agree with this completely.

Dredd was a clear attempt to make a 'Nolan-style' Judge Dreddd movie. Po-faced, unflashy, pragmatic.

Unfortunetly, Judge Dredd the comic is black comedy, it's satire. Dredd is an anti-hero, and in many cases he's not even that. Judge Dredd is the embodiment of fascism created by liberals. Dredd 2012 just made him out to be a very ruthless, humourless cop.

Also, the new movie simply doesn't have the budget it needed. It doesn't look like the future, it looks like a movie with way more ambition than money.

Finally, Dredd is supposed to be an action movie. Where are the action scenes? Apart from Mama blasting the whole block apart with the chain gun and the slo-mo shoot-outs, these are some of the dullest action scenes I can remember. The shoot-out on the stairs. Dredd fighting rogue Judges - laaaame.

Don't get me wrong, it's a decent enough attempt, but I can see why it flopped.
