Need I say more.

Since I was little, I've always liked Ralph b/c of his rebellion-ness... which makes so badass. I felt bad for him...I think its in the first one...when he gets thrown down he crashes through the window ceiling... ouch.

i never really got Raph....like all anti-heroes i never got the "angst".

I liked the Raph from the 80s cartoon. He was the witty smart ass.

On the hand, him being angry and rebellious makes him more of an important character.

Raph the man

Raphael is a badass, if only because sai are his weapon.

raphael's angst comes from his longing to be human, or at least to live amongst them. at least that's the way i always saw it. it's well illustrated in the first movie, he's always the one who dresses up in a trench coat and goes out, he's the one who brings april back to the den. he's confused about who he is and why he can't go out and do the things other teenagers do, and that's why his anger is so palpable. or maybe im completely wrong.

Makes sense to me.

From the footage reel I saw at Comic Con, the impression I'm getting is that Raph is returning after a lengthy absence. There's some conflict and tension over it.

In another clip it looked like he would draw blades against Leonardo.

It looks like this will be the violent and sociopath Raphael rather than the witty one of the 80-90s cartoons.

Raph was always the best. Darker and troubled. Thats why I love him.

I don't get what it is about Raph that makes him like that.

Splinter should just smack him instead of telling him little stories.

I believe in the first comics Splinter explained why Raph was so different to the others.

Damned if I can rermember what it was though.

Did Splinter spank him?

i liked Raph alot in the old movies but i've always wanted to be Leo because he followed the rules and had two swords and IMO the best fighter....thx:) norm

I've always like his relationship with Leo, he resents his leadership, yet he respects him as leader.

Ralphael, always been my favorite turtle, Cant wait to see him in this flick.

ive always liked him b/c he was the red guy, same thing with power rangers :)

Raph was always one of my fave turtles. The rebellious angry streak is cool.

Scene from the first film...

Splinter: Raphael, come sit by me.
Raphael: Couldn't this wait 'til morning?
Splinter: You will listen now... my Master Yoshi's first rule was possess the right thinking... only then can one recieve the gifts of strength, knowledge, and peace. I have tried to channel your anger, Raphael, but more remains. Anger clouds the mind. Turned inward it is an unconquerable enemy. You are unique among your brothers for you choose to face this enemy alone. But as you face it, do not forget them, and do not forget me. I am here, my son.
