Rare Fighting Game?

Okay so I was sucker punched during Microsoft's E3 event when they talked about the Rare Retro Collection. I thought maybe, just maybe Microsoft will use all those IPs for a battle brawler similar to Smash Bros., but NOPE! What does everyone think of such a game?
