Hi Argyle. What you saw was a re-realization of the original Metropolis from the original Ratchet & Clank. It’s been very cool to be able to show that clip and tell everyone that we’re working on Ratchet & Clank for the PS3. But for now, we have to keep everything under wraps. I suppose that what I can tell you is thatwe’ve been working on both Ratchet & Clank and Resistance concurrently. Hopefully we’ll be able to show you new stuff in a few months. I can also say that Ratchet environments and characters look absolutely beautiful on the PS3.

Goddamn I love Insomniac :D By far one of the best developers in the video game industry.

I expect the game to look pretty stunning. The original Ratchet looked absolutely amazing for it's time. The environments were huge, and you really could see them without fogging.

I never liked Ratchet and Clank.

The major problem with Ratchet and Clank, IMO, is that they shelled out to many, to quickly. It was like "Oh cool! I have Going Commando!" then before you know it your saying "WTF!? Up Your Arsenal comes out next week!?". Maybe the extra year Insomniac had this time could help them make a "true" sequel this time. Not some half-assed expansion pack.

Now I just wish the next Jak game would be announced.:csad:

Did Going Commando and Up Your Aresnal play similar? Yes. Why? They are sequels. Sure, the games were made and released within a year of each other - however it was not at the cost of quality. Going Commando was 100XBetter than RC1. GC was near flawless so they just smoothed out everything and added in multiplayer for UYA. The games were always of the highest quality and were constantly in the run for Game of the Year, PS2 Game of the Year, Platformer of the Year - and they deserved it.

I never said they were "bad", I just think that every sequel was just slightly "souped-up" version of the last one, which is not something that enjoy playing over and over again. I loved the first one. I thought it was truly a huge achievement for the PS2. But after "Going Commando" I was hoping for more unique features for the sequel and I didn't feel that what I got with "Up Your Arsenal". I just want to see something new and original in the world of Ratchet and Clank, that's all.

They're mediocre.

Insomnaic's record says other wise. Desrupter was a great FPS on the PS1 (which had few quality FPS's), too bad it didn't sell. Spyro was one of the PS1's stapel franchises and Ratchet and Clank series cranked out 2 of the best games available on the PS2 (Going Commando and Up Your Aresnal) as well as two of the most fun multiplayer games (UYA and Deadlocked).

Resistance Fall of Man has been billed to be the best launch title for the PS3 and it looks fantastic.

Did you miss the multiplayer aspect of UYA? I would agree that Deadlock did not have the depth of the other games, but Going Commando and Up Your Aresnal were near flawless.

Actually the next Ratchet & Clank game will have the number 5 on it because Ratchet: Deadlocked is part 4

I dont consider that a Ratchet and Clank game - it didn't have the same game design, same feeling, same...greatness as the other RC games. After all, Clank's not even in the title in Ratchet: Deadlocked :D

Meh. I want a new Jak and Daxter from Naughty Dog.

Nah,I'm pretty positive it's dead. Just like Crash. Hell,it even had that crappy racing game like Crash did.

SOny registered the trademark "Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier" a bit ago. So cahnces are good that there's going to be another entry in the franchise.

Jak X racing is awesome, better then Mario Kart.

Ratchet and Clank and the word 'Greatness' should not be in the same sentence. :o

So anyways, you can go ahead and just skip out on Phantasy Star Universe, Garry's Mod, any DS Game, etc.
