I figured they'd adapt these types of franchises before Nintendo and Sega.

Never really cared for the games, though I admit from what little I've played and watched, the humor is great. Might watch the movie.

Gonna watch this. A Sly Cooper movie would be cool too.

Personally, I think this is a BRILLIANT move on Sony's part. I'm really happy they're letting an independent animation studio adapt this movie, while having Insomniac Games make sure that it's EXACTLY like the games. I ESPECIALLY love how they're playing it safe with the fans by having the series' recurring voice actors do the characters again instead of getting the usual celebrity voices like most studios do! That's a bold move to make, but still a good one nonetheless! AND this will be based exclusively on the first game (my favorite one next to Deadlocked)! If this does well, I'd LOVE to see this animation company work with Sony again for a Jak and Daxter movie! Who knows? Maybe this'll help studios take video game movies more seriously! Dunno if I'll get to see it in the theater, but I'll DEFINITELY check it out on Blu-Ray for sure!

Yep, I'd love to see a Sly Cooper movie too. I mean the Sly games are already pretty cinematic anyway. Wouldn't be hard to make into a movie at all.

So technically it's Universal distributing it. Cool.

Looks decent. Will be checking this out

However I think the trailer tried a little too hard. The whole narration mess up was funny at first but it got old fast imo

I'll go see it. I've played every game so I know what I'm getting.

Resurrecting this old thread. Film starting out with a 20% on RT. Can probably cross this off as the first possibly good video game movie.

Yeah, it looks a little iffy from the ads but I still need to see it. Did they even get the writers from the game on it?

Not sure but the writers they did use had a pretty bad movie track record.

Call me crazy, but I liked the movie. TJ Fixman who worked on the games also co-wrote the script FYI.

Not sure if it will make money, but I enjoyed it. It's fairly faithful to the games, and it does have some clever moments.

Unfortunately, it didn't. #7 at the box office this weekend. $4.8 million. DAMNIT. This is what happens when they hire bad writers like Gerry Swallows. ****ing Blue Sky, I swear to God......

LOL, Blue Sky didn't work on this one. It was Rainmaker. Hopefully Sly Cooper still gets made, but it should probably be DTV.
