Now, theres alot of people out there who hated this film, and theres alot of people who love this film. Lets find out on what scale batman forever should be rated. State your opinion, it matters!

Personally, I give Batman Forever an 8 out of 10. Although many didnt enjoy it I found some fun in it.

I gave it a six.

Although the characters same slightly off there is a lot to like in this movie. Val kilmer made a good Bruce Wayne and a decent Batman and I believe if he had been giving a darker script he could have been the best. Also I heard he was fired from Batman and Robin for not liking the direction of the character, kudos to him.

Jim Carrey as the Riddler is another decent interpretation of the character who would have worked better if the actor had been given more to work with.

Two-face is nothing like his comic book character here and his connection to Batman is not given enough time, Tommy Lee Jones comes off as more of a side-kick here.

Chris O Donnell is passable at best, I don't think he is that good an actor and is not given that much to work with either. Even as a child I was disappointed with the amount of screen time that "Robin" got.

Nicole Kidman, I liked the scene that her bed clothes showed her figure.

I actually like the principle of the character arc that Bruce goes through, I like that through helping dick, who does not take the life of Two-Face like Bruce did the Joker, gives him some sort of salvation.

This has probably the best action sequences of all the movies, the first one being really good. But it is let down by a lot of stupid **** like the electro gun at the start.

I still can't believe people are lightening up about Batman Forever, while Nolan still gets crap for Begins.

This movie is a 2 for me. One for each nipple on the human form.

It works like a movie, like a light Batman movie, it's dark enough, Nicole Kidman gives a decent performance, Kilmer is interesting, good enough Robin.

Two Face Lee Jones was bad but Riddler-Carrey was awesome.

7/10 for El Payaso.

7/10. It was a very good combination of dark Batman modern, and the lighter elements of the comics past. In that aspect, it's very different from BB or B89...more more inclusive.

I give it a 3. Some people may think it's too low, but I hate the movie.

Completely agree. I gave it a 7/10 as well. Carrey was great but Two Face was wasted.

I gave it 7.

Batman Forever is enjoyable movie unlike B&R, BF cast gave better performance.

Val Kilmer as Batman/Bruce Wayne: I liked his Batman (Nothing beats Bale/Keaton as Bats) and liked his Bruce more than Keaton though.

Nicole Kidman: She was so HOT in this movie and acting was good.

Jim Carrey as The Riddler: He was good but too much of Frank Gorshin wannabe.

Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face: He was good in the beginning of the movie, you know with the speech all I thought he was Two-Face there and with a better script and direction he could have best Two-Face because TLJ is a very good actor.

Chris O'Donnell as Robin/Dick Grayson: I think he should been Nightwing not Robin and thought he was too old as Robin

Michael Gough as Alfred Pennyworth: He was best Alfred.

With all the camp, neon lights and nipples 5/10.

Batman Forever was what got me into Batman. It came out on video when I was 4 or 5, and I absolutely loved it. After that I bought the Burton movies and started buying the comics and I was hooked on Batman. And I still think it's a pretty good movie. For one, there's not a bad performance in the movie. Tommy Lee Jones may not be Two Face from the comics, but as the cackling Two Face Schumacher wanted he did a very good job, as did the rest of the cast. Second, the cinematography is beautiful (I believe it got an Oscar nomination, but I could be wrong). Camera angles and movements, lighting, it's all gold. I think that even though Batman is recast (Kilmer did a very good job with what he had to work with) it works very well as the end to a trilogy with the Burton movies. Of course you have to ignore Batman & Robin, but that shouldn't be too hard for any of you. I gave it a seven out of ten.

Yeah i aggree, I heard that he actually was going to do it much darker but joel stopped him and told him to be "happy about it". Idk wtf joel was thinking.

If there was a Rate Batman Begins thread, people would be a lot harsher on rating it. I'm surprised people are even giving BF 8's. There would be way more b***ing on a BB thread.

Some are even saying the Riddler interpretation was "decent," while there are thousands of replies on the "Who doesn't like the Joker look" thread--for ONE teaser picture of Heath Ledger.

Something is terribly wrong.

Yeah I think that alot of other people feel that way too. For its time it was a blockbuster, a popcorn flick, but to kids thats all they need. It wasnt BB, but it wasnt B&R. It was an OK movie that people could go to and just have fun at. Thats why I think kids liked it, and in a way it was a good thing because it made many future fans out of the kids.

Yeah theres alot of strange, unexplained TDK/BB hate going around and Im not sure why. Nobody has really even seen a good pic of the joker yet.

I liked Val Kilmer as Batman and the action was pretty good, but I hated the campy villains. Despite Riddler's popularity I didn't find him that funny ("JOYGASM!"?). The nipples and neon lights didn't help either, so I'll give it a 5/10.

It's because some of us are really ****ing tired of hearing people praise BB like it's the second coming of Christ and that any other Batman movie that doesn't have Begins in the title is absolute garbage.

...:o

But, at the same time, no, I wouldn't be more harsh on BB. I'd give it at least an 8 or a 9 easily.

In the Batman franchise, it was the second coming of Christ!

7/10. I love this film and don't mind the nipples or neon (I guess I'm one of the few who can actually get over all that). I was just watching it last night actually. :batman:

8/10,I always did and still do enjoy Batman Forever.Very fun movie

I like the Dick/Robin and Bruce/Batman scenes the most and Carey's Riddler was an interesting take on the character.

Also it was the first film where I noticed Nicole Kidman to be hot.

I´ll give it 6/10, I enjoyed Carrey as The Riddler, TLJ wasn´t anything great as Two-Face, hated Connelly as Robin, Kilmer was good as Bruce Wayne but didn´t have a strong presence as Batman to me

I gave it a six.
Nicole Kidman, I liked the scene that her bed clothes showed her figure.
That was actually a sheet that she had to hold against herself, which made it all the better. :woot:

I also gave it a 6.
