I don't understand how you're going to make a Justice League movie and NOT use Superman in the marketing...just dumb

We must have watched a different trailer. The one I saw had news reporters talking about him, shots of his symbol across the world, Bruce saying that Superman is a beacon of hope, the man of steel theme playing through the trailer AND Superman at the end.![]()
If anything, I think the issue here is that the JL is being promoted as a group that's complete without Superman.
The trailer shows that the world is different in Superman's absence, but it does not emphasize or hint that the team feels/comes off as incomplete without Superman.
Superman, as far as the trailers have suggested, does not feel like a member of the group which is what most people are having issues with.

Not having Superman in the marketing is a genius move IMO. Granted it happened because of his death in BvS. But it makes the whole deal even more intriguing. We have no idea what's gonna happen nao do we. We are hotly anticipating his return. Everyone is curious. That' the hook. The hype for Superman through his absence will be through the roof. I know it's my most anticipated moment in the movie.
Yup, Superman's absence gives the movie intrigue and mystery. We all wanna know "where is SUPERMAN?" Would we be anticipating his role in the movie nearly as much if he was alive and this was just a standard team up movie?
Actually in the trailer they have a shot addressing specifically that aspect. The scene where Wonder Woman stresses the importance to fight together as one. This is a clear indication as to them not being complete. Everyone seems to be struggling personally. Batman due to Superman's death, Cyborg due to being different and not a "full" man, Flash due to never having fought etc.
That's exactly how it all comes across in the trailers and posters. It's flawed from the start to think that the JL is complete without Superman.
