Well, we do it for the Netflix shows, why not do it for this network series?
Give your average rating for this season, I prefer that you based your vote on how much you enjoyed the overall season, not how much you think it deserves on quality scale.

For example; I think the flaws in this season makes it between 6-7 out of 10 on quality scale, on my joy scale, it averages to 8.7 out of 10, so I'll probably vote a 9 out of 10 on my joy meter.

Probably about 8.5, so I rounded up to a 9. There were a few filler episodes that were pretty boring or pointless, but for the most part I still enjoyed just about every episode. The visit to Earth 2 was great, Zoom was pretty terrifying, and the last few episodes to end the season were awesome. Can't wait for season 3!

There are only a couple of things that come to mind as negatives. The second half of a season should have included an update on how Grodd was doing in Gorilla City. Wally appears unaffected by the recreated PA explosion although logically he should be experiencing some clues that something is different at this point.

All that being said, this season was every bit as strong as season 1. There are characters and concepts that I thought would never be approached, yet we're seeing them in all of their glory. I can't wait for season 3.

8.5 rounded up to 9 for the poll. I don't have many negatives, except that Barry is a real numbskull sometimes and he doesn't seem to learn from mistakes.

That is my biggest gripe.

What little we saw of the real Jay Garrick is enough to make me overlook any issues I might have had this season.

There were too many holes and gaps, both in scheduling and storywise that lead me to give it a 7. Still better than Arrow, but not nearly as tight as it was last season. I kinda just stopped caring towards the end because it was clear they were killing time for the Finale, and even with their big reveals, they left me scratching my head more than feeling awe-inspired.

I enjoyed this season immensely, the only thing that makes this season a tad lower than last is the whole 'time remnant' thing...lame.

The first half of the season was great. Better than season 1. Zoom was scary and yet unknown. But as soon as they revealed who Zoom really was the season fell apart. After that it was clear that they were stalling and killing time until the last episode. In my opinion this season would have been much better at 15-16 episodes instead of 23.

100% agree. Started off strong then fell apart towards the end. I could tell by the inconsistency of the stories and character personality shifts, that there were multiple different writers with different agendas.
Also, having a speedster villain that gains Barry's trust then betrays him is a re-tread of 1st season.
A solid 10-16 ep show would have been so much better.

I give it a 6/10. Its story inconsistencies, weak villain (Zoom was great until we learned it was Jay under the mask), and failure to properly manage its bloated cast prevent me from giving it a higher score.

Im honestly torn as hell on what to rate this this season. There were alot things I loved and alot I didnt. Like the first half of the season was all setup for legends and filler and the second half seemed to bring it in more and focus on zoom. I have to say zoom was good until he took the mask off where as last season once reverse flash took his mask off we were hooked even more.

Pros
Barry/ mom moments
Barry/ speed force
Harrison wells earth 2
Earth 2
Zoom at first
Gorilla grodd
The finale
Black flash

Cons
Too much filler
Star labs team got way too big
Too much setup for legends
Too much time focused on wally and his dying mom

I think ill go 3.3/5

Agreed but sadly these cable networks are still stuck in the past doing full seasons instead of adapting to the new ways of shorter seasons.

I voted 6. It was a little bit of a mess. I did not hate it by any stretch of the imagination, but having Barry go up against another speedster that was "smarter and faster" than he was, well, it really was exhausting to sit through the same trials and tribulations as season one. It did not really allow for much growth of the character when he fails the same tests over and over again.

At least the "pep talk" stage of the show seems to be over. Barry acted much more decisively as the season progressed. We know that he's prone to some questionable decision making, but at least he's no longer an indecisive neophyte.

I gave it a 6. Barry for such an intelligent dude acts ******ed way too often, but occasionally he's a genius. The Super girl episode for example. His powers are still written inconsistently as well. Like how does Girder even hit him in the second last episode? Team Flash is too big in my opinion. I want them doing less. Identify metas sure, but I don't want them figuring out how to beat the villains 80% of the time. Barry is too much of a *****. I get that Gustin is good at being emotive, but this isn't Glee. Sometimes being the stoic superhero would be good too. So, less crying from our main hero next season would be good. Lastly, keep the rules of time travel and the speed force a little more consistent. I think they're confusing way too many people by trying to be too clever.

Look at how long it took Cisco to feel any effects from the original particle accelerator.

Just because him and Jesse didn't feel effects yet, don't mean they won't in the future.

I give it an 8. Better than season 1. The villain was cool and looked amazing visually (though his plan wasn't as interesting as Eobard's and thus the plot twists weren't as gripping). Supporting cast got stronger and all of the big players are in place (save for Max Mercury). Didn't like Barry's decisions towards the end of the show and his characterization seems to be going all over the place. Lastly, I'm feeling a severe lack of Mirror Master that hopefully will be satisfied in S3. If Miller and Purcell don't come back (Prison Break is restarting I think), I'd be cool with either MM or the Top take charge of the Rogues with a new lineup.

I went with 8. I liked Season 1 better overall but this season had some great moments and memorable episodes. The narrative wandered a bit second half of the season and there were more filler episodes than in Season 1. I did think the season ended really well though.

I have to say... 5, if I have to try and give it a score. It was all the negatives of the first season with far less of the positives. The writing continues to be atrocious in some cases and the inconsistency of character and power sets is annoying as hell. Time Remnant get of jail free cards, idiotic decisions, seemingly make up as they go along plotting and a partial re-hash of the previous season's main arc... I want to like this show but I just can't see past the immense flaws that won't ever get fixed because fans seem to not mind them as long as they get costumes and powers.

I gave Season 2 a 9, whereas I would give Season 1 a 10. Season 1 delivered almost everything I could have wanted from the show with tremendous creativity, with only some minor problems along the way, so I felt the first season deserved a 10. Season 2 was very good too, but not quite as consistent in quality as Season 1. The second season sometimes didn't display quite the same top-notch storytelling or the same careful focus that the first season nearly always did. Some episodes could have used better writing or better focus on the main storyline.

Nevertheless, it would be a mistake to overlook Season 2's real accomplishments. When the season was at its best, its writing was just as good as Season 1. The character dynamics and the friendships among the members of Team Flash continued to be excellent, one of the best things about this series as a whole. Also, episodes like "Welcome to Earth-2" and "The Runaway Dinosaur" showcased some of the best writing ever done in this show.

It was also really cool how Season 2 introduced many fascinating, fantastical elements of the DC Comics universe into the show and the Flarrowverse in general. We got the multiverse, the parallel Earths, the doppelganger concept, and our first glimpse of Gorilla City. All in all, you have to give major credit to the writers for being willing to take such bold steps in adapting the DC comic book universe in creative ways.

I really enjoyed Season 2 overall, even if it didn't quite measure up to the high standard of the show's first season. There was enough great stuff to keep me looking forward to the show every week.

Although there were some things that made me upset and somethings that totally ruined certain things of the show for me, I enjoyed this season overall. Next season has me worried but excited as well.

A fairly ok 7. Compared to Season 1, it was kind of all over the place. I didn't like the Jay as Zoom, although bringing it back around with John Shipp as Jay was ok, I really liked Teddy Sears as Jay better. All the metas in 2 worlds couldn't make up for all the breaks with cliffhangers and filler episodes. At least the way it ended leaves Season 3 wide open.

I'd give it a 7.5 with season 1 getting an 8.5/9. I loved the advancements that were made this season such as the multiverse, Vibe and Jay Garrick. But for me I think that after the mid season break things slowed down a bit and when the story turned into Zoom pining after Caitlin and stuff as the main basis for his evilness then it became a bit boring. If we get a regular Killer Frost from it that'd be great but I don't know if we will. Also, I really thought we'd have seen more from the Rogues even with out Snart and Rory but unfortunately we didn't.

Also I agree with the point about scheduling and the gaps between some episodes. In the UK we normally get the show a week after the US which is fine during the first part of the season before Christmas when the only week off is Thanksgiving I think, but that's to be expected. Luckily Sky, the U.K. broadcaster, learnt from this happening so much with Flash and Arrow last year that in the New Year they waited 4/5 weeks after Flash was shown so that we wouldn't have to put up with the gaps and then we wouldn't catch up for a good few weeks. I know this comes from the need to work on CGI but maybe if they didn't come back so soon and waited till mid-Feb then this probably wouldn't occur and it's more time to work on CGI and to better the story.
But overall I did enjoy the series and just seeing Earth-2 and Grodd again makes up for it. Zoom was a great villain until the Caitlin bit at the end but just watching "Enter Zoom" was just enough badassry to last the season.

No idea why people are rating it a 7 at best. Seems way too high. The show this season had very few likable moments that made me go "oh wow, hell yeah!" or just character development in general. Hardly anyone grew much this season. I am giving Season 3 a chance though.
