Like how it wasn't too spoilish. Don't like Iron Man being front and center though. That's forced because we know Iron Man is Joss Whedon's favorite, but this is the general audience, and this is the Avengers, not f***ing Iron Man.
I'm fairly certain this tralier focused on Iron Man because it focused on Ultron, AIs, and that whole part of the movie, of which Tony will be a major player.
It's hard to find any other reason cause that movie looks like another average action-michael-bay-style movie with heroes instead of transformers.
I know this kid got banned but it makes me sad when people honestly can't see past the superficial elements of a movie like, say, it's genre. A1 had some amazingly clever writing and just because it was used in a comedy action film doesn't make the talent that went into it any less skilled. Look, every movie, show, book, poem can b read into, has layers of meaning and just because sometimes the top layer is colorful and full of whiz and bang and punch doesn't mean that is all there is to it.
Shakspeare's comedies are genius and have some of his best characters and comments about society and theater at the time. Alice In Wonderland and Peter Pan are both amazing tales that I read at least every year because their authors had the genius to layer the stories so that you open a new book each time and yet at their core both are still stories meant to amuse children - a traditional followed by the Lemony Snicket novels that are just full of silliness but couldn't work under a less talented author. Douglas Adams wrote perhaps the most silly space adventure ever, but you can't tell me that you read it and got nothing more out of it than some 60 B-scifi movie.
Joss Whedon's work is definitely comedic, but it is not just another fun light hearted action affair. In fact, if you take a good look and don't pas automatic judgment based on some idea of what is and isn't to be considered important, you'll find plenty of those movies you are willing to write of so casual actually show depth and talent.
Posts like these confuse me, ok what were your reasons for your anticipation being brought down.
Maybe they're like I am - no longer as eager to see the movie as that means coming out from under my bed where I have been hiding since I heard Spaderton threaten me.
