Your opinions please on one of the quintessential and most famous of all Bond movies, The Spy Who Loved Me.

Easily my favorite Moore Bond film. Probably in my top 5 Bond movies ever.

Too much sci-fi in it to my taste. Jaws is dangerous, at least, but Stromberg is a bland version of Blofeld, and too many scenes and most of the plot are recycled from previous Bond movies. The sort of "love triangle" between the Bond Girl, Bond, her dead lover and Bond is promessing, but never exploited properly.

Simply my favourite Moore Bond film.

So many pluses.

It has (For me) the definitive Bond ski chase in the pre-credits, it has the intro of Jaws, it has the Lotus vs helicopter chase (with the excellent 'Bond 77' theme by John Barry) following into the Lotus turning into the submarine, a supertanker that swallows up atomic summarines, and of course,

Agent Triple X - Barbara Bach (hubba hubba)

I love it. Major Anya Amasova is brilliant, the locations are great, the villains are pure Bond...

No, no, no, the quintessential Bond film is DEFINITELY "Goldfinger," not "TSWLM." Plus, Goldfinger is definitely the better of the two films.

Same here - fond memories of it being shown on ITV on almost like every bank holiday in the 80's.

I found an old VHS tape the other day (from what I estimate is about 1985) that I used to tape the movie. Thing is, it's still got all the advert breaks in. Just watching all those old adverts from 85 were hilarious.

Let me guess....Betamax, Lun Poly, Chocolate Orange....?

Lol, close.

Club 18-30's, Smash instant potato, Bradford & Bingley, Scotch videotapes (the one with the skeleton), a couple of XXXX adverts with Crocodile Dundee Paul Hogan and a really, really cheesy Kellogs Cornflakes one.

A total laugh riot.

The best Roger Moore movie and the best Bond movie of the `70s!
