Ray Fisher is CYBORG!

Written by David S. Goyer, the screenplay for Batman-Superman is based on a story co-created by Goyer and Snyder.

WTF?? I thought one of the Argo writers are doing the script please keep Snyder and Goyer away from scriptwriting story ok but screenplay is a BIG NO NO to me

Snyder + Goyer make story.
Goyer writes script.
Terrio rewrites script.

You know if it is a film full of glorified cameos, is that a good thing? :woot:

:cwink: I do think it's a better option than Marvel's post credit scenes. I'd rather have these type of characters introduced by interspersing them at certain points in the main story, maybe a few minutes of screen time.

kal-mart's quotes from the cause of the delay and the future of DC.

Well.......

....with today's news of casting Cyborg, it all but seals something I was hesitant to talk about before until it was 'confirmed'. Something that many had mentioned and assumed, but there was no actual 'official' word yet. But this pretty much gives it away.

Yes...this film will act as a launching pad for the Justice League...a la Avengers, with cameos by heroes for future installments. One of the reasons why I didn't want to say it for sure was because there was no official word/news even though it doesn't really come as a surprise, and I didn't know how long they would try to keep it secret et al. They're cameos, after all, so like in Incredible Hulk w/ Stark at the end it could have been something they were saving as a late surprise or the like. And I didn't want to be the first to let the cat out of the bag.

Also...the reason why I found this out a while back was because of the delay...and also why I wasn't sharing that reason for the delay before. The reason for the delay, as I was told, was because they were still negotiating with the actors for those cameos (the 'E' I hinted at before) and future roles…meaning major contacts for multiple JL/character films to follow. They apparently didn't want to move forward until they had more of this secure…so they held off starting production for a few months. So as you can see…seemingly simple reason, but the implications are pretty darn huge. Strangely, it wasn't about Affleck or Eisenberg, or the script, or a lot of things that were assumed.

Technically, that hasn't yet been directly 'confirmed', but it's all but spelled out with the inclusion of Cyborg, and I won't be commenting yet on who else will be appearing. But this is what I was referring starting back in Feb….

You don't like the casting of a trained theatre actor. Huh.

Listen, if he ain't in movies, he ain't ****. DC needs to learn a thing or two from Marvel, amirite? **** these unknowns, amirite? You wanna be a hero, you gotta be B-list at least, or go the **** home. :o

Variety - for some reason - refuse to include Terrio's name in anything.

They haven't scheduled another shoot right after BvS. So if anything is coming right after, it won't be this production/franchise.

I don't know....just because they haven't announced anything yet doesn't mean anything. I see them filming two movies back to back with an announcement coming later. I can't see them taking 10 months to shoot just one movie. 5 months a movie....

That actually sounds horrible imo. That is like stopping a film stone dead to introduce someone. I much prefer the idea of a quick glance at these characters in relation to some sort of montage then that.

Exactly... I hope Frodo and Sam shows up in this as well.

they also need to include a scene with pipe weed

I can see it. It's the execution that will matter and we don't know their approach yet. The post credit scenes are boring to me and usually aren't significantly connected to the other movies. We shall see

Post-Credit isn't even know Marvel introduces most of its characters, so I don't know what you are talking about.

It's freakin' ridiculous to consider this anything but a JL movie now, with Bats and Supe taking a slightly bigger role than the rest.Instead of trolling us,they should just own up to it now.

I'm just giving my thoughts--no need to be a rude ass.

Now, what are you talking about? You're being nitpicky. They certainly don't introduce new characters in the main plot or even feature. It's how they connect their movies--the Thor hammer, Fury showing up, the Cap in ice reference. I don't remember them all but that's several right there.

So... we can expect even more casting news?

My one and only question:

Could this potentially lead to a Teen Titans film somewhere down the line?

If so, I'm officially down with this.

captain america was first introduced as part of the mcu in iron man 1.

and in case you missed it during that scene they put it in the viewers face in the second movie.

We count deleted scenes now?

You seem fixated on complaining about Marvel for some reason, when they have nothing to do with this conversation. Worst yet, your point was way off.

And it just isn't true. Iron Man, Cap, Thor, Widow, Hawkeye, and Hulk. None were introduced in mid or post-credits. That is all 6 Avengers. Then this ignores other heroes like Hill, Falcon, Rhodey, Sif, and the Warriors Three. All a part of the main film. That ignores that none of the Guardians of the Galaxy were teased before the film's release.

I would call those more easter eggs than proper introductions. Honestly, Fury, Thanos, and the Collector are the only characters I can remember being first seen in a post-credits scene, and even those were pretty much just one-line teases. Most of the actual character development in those films happened during the main film.

Exactly. Lol so much for rationality. Tons of optimism though...

To be fair that doesn't mean anything. We could still be looking at a film where the Justice League or Batman's arrival is told from the perspective of Clark Kent/Superman. It's not like Batman's inclusion is now suddenly Batman's movie etc.

The ground-work is Man of Steel and all of this is happening because of the events of Man of Steel. I guess Martha Kent, Perry White and Lois Lane will just be cameo's too and have nothing to do with this movie.

Superman's cast:
Superman/Clark Kent
Lois Lane
Martha Kent
Perry White
Lex Luthor

Batman's cast:
Batman/Bruce Wayne
Alfred

Wonder Woman's cast:
Diana Prince

STAR LABS:
Victor Stone.

Unknown roles:
Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey and Tao Okamoto

Yep, must be a Batman relaunch.

Wow, very excited to have a little bit of news haha. And thrilled to have Cyborg join this film. I JUST HOPE THAT THEY MAKE HIM VERY VERY DIFFERENT THAN IRON MAN ..personality, abilities ect..

Because of Cyborg? I highly doubt it.
