This is a great little Aussie horror movie,i saw it years ago on Cable late one night but just recently bought it on DVD,i watched it last night and found it as good as i'd remembered, the use of minimalistic music and sound coupled with great cinematography and lighting really create great tension and a sense of foreboding.
The Outback is stunningly captured, creating a frightening and desolate post apocalyptic-esque terrain for the film to take place on
The effects aren't great but the use of the above and some neat editing make for some really well shot scenes of the monsterous Razorback killing
The acting is poor-ish for the most part but not unwatchable and the end suffers from the fact they have to show to much of Razorback and since they only have a standing model for long shots a half body model they drag along on a trolley for the chase parts and a animatronic head model it really exposes the beast and no amount of editing can cover the cracks
Still this is a good exercise in how not showing much gore but creating tension with the simple tools of the trade can make for a fine horror movie
I highly recommend picking it up,it's cheap on DVD
