Incoming Google Messages texts now arrive with a flourish, but did you even notice?

After first seeing work on it last month, the new animation for adding messages to chats is now rolling out to Google Messages.

Yeah iMessage animations for like Birthdays, etc. now translate to Google Messages.

This actually proves that Google can make RCS work by treating users Google Voice number as a secondary number for Messages.

New RCS protocol could allow for third party apps to integrate. So apps like Messenger, Signal, and Textra could possibly use it in the near future.

I really wish they would change the color of the bubble for this. Keeping the same green color is just harmfully deceiving at this point.

I don't think my family is mean enough to kick her out.

Wait a sec, so an iOS user can react to a picture/video sent to them by an Android user and the Android user will actually see it now instead of a separate text? And vice versa?
