This is a story I just started working on today after it popped into my mind at random. So anyways, its just a first draft, but here it is.

[FONT=&quot] I’ve been thinking a lot about it lately. About my purpose in life, about what I want to achieve in the short time I have on this here earth. And I came to the conclusion, that I want to do something no one else has, I want to leave my mark on this world, I want them to remember me and say: “Now there was a guy I’ll never forget”, I want them all to be there staring, wondering, I want them to remember. I want them ALL to remember me. [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot] I haven’t decided how I’m going to quite do that, that’s partly the reason I decided to start writing this journal, I want to be able to have some place where I can write my ideas, someplace where no one can intrude on them. And then when my time is done, I would hope someone would find this journal, and see how it all came along, see how the greatest thing they ever saw happened! Yeah, that’s it, that’s what I want to show them, the greatest thing they ever saw! [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot] The last couple of days have been a real eye opener for me, ever since I started this journal, I’ve started walking round the city a bit more, looking, observing, noting down everything I saw. After walking through downtown for an hour at 2 pm I made a list of everything I had seen.[/FONT]
-[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Three junkies buying crack off a dealer[/FONT]
-[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Four muggings[/FONT]
-[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]One attempted rape where the victim got away by using some pepper spray[/FONT]
-[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Two street fights, one of which was fatal[/FONT]
-[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Three rapes happening in a taxicab. [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]This is only what I managed to see, and it already disgusts me. Worst part is that I knew I wasn’t ready, so I felt utmost powerless, seeing all these things happen, and not being able to do anything about them.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot] I’ve already decided that my mission will be to clean up this scum ridden hellhole o f a city. But how will I do it? I can’t go to the cops. I can’t become a cop… I need something… something big… something useful. I’ve been reading some of my old comic books lately, wanting to see how them super people do it. I don’t think I got any superpowers, but then again, I don’t think I’ll need it. I can manage like this. Tomorrow I’m going to sign up for a self-defense class, most likely Karate. There is so much to do, and so little time. [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot] My first Karate class went really well. They only showed me some basic stuff, but I think I’m going to learn a lot from it, if only I stick with it. After the class I went to the library where I picked up some books on criminals and police agency training, things like that, things that will help me understand the enemy, and will help me understand how to beat him. On the way back I stopped by the grocery store where I bough some milk, cereal and a couple of TV dinners. I also signed up for a noon criminal study class at the local university. I think that was a good choice, I think that and the books should help.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot] The first day at the class was a lot better than expected. The teacher seemed to be relatively nice and I got a lot of notes taken down bout the criminal mind. I really think this will help. I really hope so. [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot] Today I finally decided what I want to be to accomplish my objective. I want, no I NEED to be a vigilante. Someone who cleans up the mess the police wont even dare to smell, someone who will take down those scum and vermin who make the mess in the first place. Yeah, I’ll be a vigilante! [/FONT]
