Really Good Watchmen Fanfilm.

The voice, indeed the overall characterization of Rorschach, is all wrong.

The way the lines are delivered does not make Rorschach out to be on the edge of insanity. There is no paranoia and contempt in his voice. This is the problem with being obsessed with translating comics panel to panel, you lose sight of the deeper themes, which are much more important in the long run. The music didn't feel right to me either.

Dude, its a fanfilm, okay the fact that this guy put time and energy to atleast try and make it was deserving praise.

I agree on the voice, the music on the other hand gave it that Noir Detective feel which I always thought surrounded Rorschach, I mean he is a detective and a damned good one at that. The voice is the only complaint I have with that.

I loved that WATCHMEN short, I hope the movie has that same comic-y quality to it, as it should.

Holy ****, a good fan film!:wow: That's the Batman film I want to see.

wow, that arkham asylume video was damn impressive. i dunno if it was my computer screen, but the lighting seemed pretty underdevloped, it was hard to see what was going on....but other than that....damn!

Everything looked fine except the voice. That voice was horrible. It sounded like a lisp or speech impediment.

I think they should think about stuff like this, I am sure they are, sort of like Sin City did. Should they do it panel for panel. Do lighting and green screen tricks, and stuff like that.
It would be cool to see the art of book when it is finally made.

It's not that it has such a great value, or that it's close to the comic, or that Ror's voice is all wrong, but it's the fact that it was done by a guy in High School with no budget whatsoever. That is why it's so cool.:o

I was just watching that first one the other day! The beginning of it was boring but I loved it once he went inside the house! Ror's was devouring those beans lmao!

not quite as gritty as i would preffer but it was ok.

the voice is totally off though. they coul do better.

Yeah, I always imagined Rorschach to have more of a cold, hard whisper of a voice. This guy, on the other hand, seemed to be trying to do a bad De Niro/Travis Bickle impersonation.

I really liked the look of the Watchmen fan film, however Rorschach's voice kinda let me down :csad:

I definitely don't want him having a New York accent in the upcoming film, I'd like him to have just a plain american accent, I'd also like him to speak with monotone, but I did like the effect the guy gave the voice, the vibrating sound.

Exactly. But, might just think that because I know little to nothing about special effects... so, for that kind of budget- how they heck did that dude get those effects? :wow:

I busted out out laughing when I heard the Joker say HOLA!!!!

He was either A) really good with Cinepaint, had access to Adobe Aftereffects or did it the old fashion way and used photoshop. He did a great job I must say, I'm working on a Ronin movie using the same technique.
