My take so far.
X-Men: Children of the Atom
Ext. Alaska. Night
A private plane silently passes in the night. Over trees and valleys, its propellers can be heard from a distance.
The CAMERA follows from underneath as it passes. Suddenly a bolt of raw, red, energy rips through the cabin, obliterating it. It begins to crash. A single parachute can be seen being jettisoned from the side door.
Int. Alaskan Wilderness.
A boy lies face down in the snow, trace amounts of blood pooling in around his head in the snow. No sound, just silence. Then...

Hello this is Ranger station Alpha do you copy. Over.
(V.O.) Radio - Man
Copy Alpha, whats your situation. Over.
(V.O.) Radio - Woman
We have a plane down thirty miles due west of Anchorage. Two possible survivors, please send search and rescue. Over.
The screen fades to black.
Ext. Hospital - Anchorage, Alaska. Night
A small ambulance pulls up to the front of the Hospital, several orderlies come outside and move to the back, opening the doors. Out comes the body of a young child - Scott Summers - presumably only twelve or thirteen years of age.
Int. Hospital - Examination Room.
A Doctor lays out a series of readings before two scientists seated in front of him. He has a look of disbelief on his face. The pages all contain EEG readings. The top of the page reads Scott Summers.
Dr. Claremont
What are these, Millar.
Dr. Millar
Their Scotts EEG readings, taken while he was in comatose. I dont know what to make of them, I mean I do...I just
(pause)
Never thought they existed.
Dr. Bryne
Whatre you saying doctor...
Dr. Millar
What Im saying, Bryne, is that weve stumbled upon the next stage in human evolution here; homo superioris.
Dr. Claremont
Ive heard of this...this mutant phenomenon. Its rare, but Ive heard stories, some dating back centuries.
Dr. Millar
Well we cant deal with him here, we just dont have the facilities, or the know how.
Were going to have to transfer him, any ideas?
Bryne picks up the papers and examines them closely
Dr. Bryne
Yeah, that Dr. Essex guy, doesnt he deal with the paranormal and strange...
...He runs that orphanage for the gifted, or whatever, out in Nevada.
Dr. Claremont
That guy gives me the creeps.
Dr. Millar
Maybe, but hes our best option.
CUT TO.
Int. Hospital Room - Scott Summers quarters
A man, clearly in his fifties or sixties, despite having the body and stature of a twenty year old, walks in with Millar and Claremont. This man is Dr. Nathaniel Essex. He walks slowly over to the bed, examining the boy on the table. He goes to remove a pair of bandages from his eyes.
Dr. Claremont
Dont do that...
Nathaniel Essex averts his eyes upwards to a small hole, about the size of a soccer ball, that has been knocked through the ceiling.
Nathaniel Essex
I see. He will do splendidly.
CUT TO.
Ext. Hospital Front Entrance. Day
The automatic doors outside lead to a snow covered front driveway. The doors slide open. Nathaniel Essex wheels a heavily sedated Scott Summers out the into the cold. As he leaves he swings on a very heavy, thick purple colored jacket over his blue suit and red tie. He drapes his scarf over Scott Summers shoulders.
FADE OUT.
FADE IN.
Int. White House - Oval Office. Day
The President James McMann sits in his chair. Laughing and joking with a man named Bolivar Trask, who is sitting across from him in a comfy chair. He is smoking a cigar, and sipping some on some red wine.
Trask
You shouldve seen the look on youre face...priceless.
President McMann
No, my wifes face...that was priceless.
Interrupting their laughter is a page from the phone.
(V.O.) Secretary
Mr. President, a Charles Xavier is here.
President McMann
Oh yes, send him in.
The door is opened and a white haired young man wheels in Professor Xavier. Xavier is wheeled in adjacent to Trask, who sits behind him giving a faint look of recognition.
Bolivar Trask
Are you the geneticist who wrote Children of the Atom
The young man looks off into the distance as if he is staring in to space.
Charles Xavier (in Pietros head)
Pietro, if you would excuse us.
Pietro exits the room silently, the inaudible command heard by no one else but him.
Charles Xavier (speaking - Trask)
Yes, I wrote started writing it nearly a decade ago.
Its the culmination of years of research.
Bolivar Trask
Id love to see some of it.
Charles Xavier
Im afraid my methods are exclusively my own.
Bolivar Trask almost smiles, as if the two are kindred spirits. He puts out his cigar in the ashtray.
President McMann
Charles, this is Trask, hes an old golf buddy of mine, and ironically you two share some similar interests...
Bolivar Trask
(bluntly)
Mutants.
Studied them my whole life.
Bolivar Trask gets up from his chair, almost excited by his own words. He grabs a file folder and hands it to the wheelchair bound Professor Xavier. The Professor begins to flip through.
Bolivar Trask
I recently got a grant from Langtech.
You know, the advanced technologies firm.
Were calling it Project Wideawake. Its a program that uses military grade weaponry with mutant tracking technology.
Professor Xavier winces.
Charles Xavier
I dont know about this
President McMann
Oh cmon Professor, youre the one whose always warning us about potential evil mutants.
(beat - to Trask)
Bolivar aims to solve that problem.
Bolivar Trask
These mutants are powerful Charles. We just found a boy in Alaska who can destroy tanks with his eyes.
President McMann
..and Canada is already using some as weapons. I side with Trask.
Charles Xavier
When I wanted to solve the mutant dilemma I wanted to solve it with education, not force.
Bolivar Trask puts his hand on Charles shoulder. Despite his attempts to be consoling and nice, he comes off condescending.
Bolivar Trask
Dont worry Professor. You can still do your research.
Let us save the world.
Charles bows his head in defeat, he wheels himself for the door. Pietro appears at the doorway as a person on the other side opens it.
Charles Xavier
You have an excellent day, gentlemen.
Bolivar Trask and President McMann stare smugly at him as he leaves.
CUT TO
Int. White House Hallway
Pietro wheels Professor Xavier down the hallway towards the elevator. As they walk Pietro asks Professor about the meeting.
Pietro
...Those men know not what they do, Professor.
Charles Xavier
No, I suppose not.
We will have to tell your father, Erik.
Pietro
He wont like it.
Pietro wheels him into the elevator. The doors begin to close.
Charles Xavier
He never does.
The doors close completely.
FADE OUT.
