Reckoning Discussion Thread (100th episode, Spoilers)

I think he is on another level. It wouldnt make sense for him to propose to her at this stage of their lives.

 

I think him asking her falls into line with Smallville's version of Clark. He's an impulsive guy and gives the people he loves everything he can. I think it would make sense for him to ask if he's up there to show her who he is.

She'll know him a lot better after this little convo and he's loved her since he was five, this might be the next logical step for him.

I hope she doesn't crush him too bad if she turns him down... He has no way of knowing it won't work out, poor thing, even if she does initially say yes.

This is going to be some great TV, no matter what happens!

I still dont see a ring, specifically. Its too blurry.

I'm adamant that he is holding the necklace by the tip. They just want everybody to think that he's proposing.

 

Regardless of whether or not it's a dream sequence, fantasy, or parallel universe, there's only one reason Clark's on his knee in that shot:

It's a proposal.
That's a ring!

And word to Earthsea. If Lana turns HIM down, drama or no drama, she needs to see a psychiatrist or something.

What woman in her right mind.... Jeeze, I mean c'mon now. LOL!!!

I'll personally slap her if she says no.

 

Okay, I'm convinced its not a dream or whatever other fantasy, as they just wouldnt waste the time on this all important 100th episode for something that wouldnt come to any fruition.

And I still say he's not proposing he's standing on another level showing her the necklace he's being hanging on to.

 

Hehehe... uhkay, time will tell.

 

I konw its a little out there but, what if they decide to take smallville in the opposite direction of Clarks life. What if it actually would end up being lois dead I know its out their and i konw its not true but just a weird idea that hit me.

that pic had better not be from a dream. that had better be cold, cold reality.

 

That surely does look like a ring. But what really draws me to the picture is not what he is or is not holding in his hand, it's his face. Look at the intensity of his expression. I pray Lana let's him down gently if she says no. He looks as if his heart and soul is in his eyes right then.

As much as my little Clana loving heart is having palpitations at that picture.. I have to be honest and say that my initial thoughts are very pessimistic.

Okay.. here's what I think (and desperately hope I'm wrong, btw). In that last trailer we see Clark saying to Lana something about, "I'm losing you." In his desperation not to lose her, I think he does spill it all to her, and he does propose (that picture is SO definitely a proposal.. I bet they'll have him make the diamond too). But then.. since we know Lana and Clark can not possibly have a future together (or too many heads would explode ), Lana will die, shortly after accepting his proposal... maybe even at the FOS.

I'll be in my bed with a few too many Xanax in my system if and when that happens, btw.

I hope I'm wrong, but that's my guess.

One more thing.. if I'm totally wrong *fingers crossed* and she turns him down, I think it will be for a good reason. She knows that Clark isn't meant to stay in SV and play on the farm with her. I think she'll sacrifice having him because she knows his destiny lies beyond SV and beyond her.

 

There is no way Lana is dying, she is just way too important, on many levels, to this show.

 

I sit here while looking at that pic (just realized they're in the FOS) whilst listening to Lifehouse's "You and Me"

 

After some private discussion, *winking* I've decided my new and improved theory is that it's Chloe that is in the grave. I think that if it was Jonathan, Clark would be throwing dirt in the grave with Martha at his side doing the same. That, coupled with Lois now being in the opening credits *before* Chloe, makes me lean towards Chloe being the winner in the dead pool.

Give me another day or so, and I'll change my mind again, I'm sure.

I think Kristen is a Chloe fan Gina. Not 100% sure but pretty sure.

 

I had a feeling she was too. I do know for certain she's a big Michael Rosenbaum fan, but there's no way on earth THAT'S happening!
