Rene isn't taking anything for granted until she sees it with her own eyes.

Although, like you.. the noticable absence of Jonathan from the most recent teaser makes me suspicious that it's him. I can see Jonathan having a grabber at that big political rally, perhaps on the eve of him winning the state senate seat.. or maybe right after winning it. All speculation, of course.

I really did want to be surprised.. but I changed my mind so I *tried* to find out who it was by asking someone I know who is probably able to find out. Unfortunately, he doesn't want to know either! He wants to be surprised. Damn!

 

Jonathan dying, no. Jonathan dying at the hands of Jor-El for something Clark did... YES big time...

 

Maybe if Clark hadnt defied Jor-el and not come back to Smallville, those Kryptonians would have killed alot more people, including Jonathan and Lana.

 

Damn is right.

But maybe it's for the best.... *sigh*

 

even so, you're still pinning Clark's father's death indirectly on him. It sets up all sorts of screwed up character motivations for him and also would make him despise Jor-El...

yeah I dont believe the TWOP rumors myself. The guy isnt exactly going out on a limb by saying it's gonna be Jonathan. That's like predicting the Colts to win the Super Bowl right now. It's nothing profound when you pick the most obvious candidate.

 

His speculation is based from the script sides he has for Cyborg.

 

or so he says. Even so, all the detail could be false. This thing is a pretty heavily guarded secret, if people who regularly get the sides like K-Site and DTS, dont know, I seriously doubt the random guy from the TWOP forums has them either...

 

I'll be ticked if the Death turns out to be an "obvious" Character I want it to be like the Advertisements say

The one thing that has me curious is WHY this certain Actor / Actress is out of no where leaving the Show. This has got to be a first for Televsion. I hope after the Episode airs we find out WHY. Obviously if this is a PERM death they written in the Show this Person dying to not have to worry about the Character.

I wonder what Suit they will use when the time comes. If I were a betting man I'd almost bet it'd be Chistopher Reeves as a homage to him.

It is such a shame Chris is gone it would have been AWESOME if Swanne asked Clark to come to the Company Thingy & he hands Clark THE SUIT & Martha & Jonathan (if alive) be there & they ask Clark about a name & he thinks back to when Lana said something like "Are you man or Superman" (back in Season 1 or 2 I think) & Clark Picks Superman with Christopher Reeve being the one to give Clark Kent the Superman Suit it would have been soooooooooooooooo good


Would have been a BEAUTIFUL moment to see Christopher Reeve handing Tom as Clark the same Superman Suit he wore (only made for Tom)

 

I doubt they had a choice in the matter..characters sometimes get killed off of series, Alias just did (why I dno't know), waaay long ago 30 Something did it (remember the whiney show?) Lost seems to be making a trend of it. So if they decide to kill your character, you're just out of a job whether you want to be or not

 

I think he is a little more than just some random guy. As Kalkai said he's the one that supplies spoilers to Ksite and I read up on the history of the guy and he just knows more than just random wild guesses.

It's a ratings grabber, that's why, and it helps them save money at the same time.

It's a win-win for the producers. They trim an expensive cast member and get a bounce in their ratings for Sweeps...

With Lost think of when they killed Boone and Shannon... Boone was killed during the May sweeps and Shannon was killed in November, again during sweeps.

As for whether the actors would welcome leaving....

Ian Somerhalder didn't take the news well, apparently, of Boone's impending death. He grumbled to the press about it after the episode aired. However, he didn't burn any bridges and the Mouse House rewarded his loss of a steady gig by giving him a deal at the studio for future TV projects.

Maggie Grace wasn't at all upset about getting killed off, it would seem. She has a movie career she'd like to pursue, but good luck with that unless her wooden performance in The Fog was due to the hack director....

Probably the actor most willing to move on would probably be John Glover, I would think. He's hardly on anymore anyway since he has so many other things going on back on the East Coast. He works fairly regularly on the stage and shedding the responsibilities of working on Smallville probably wouldn't break his heart. It would give him time to do more of that stuff...

As for John Schneider? If he's the one, would he welcome leaving? Who knows for sure but from what I understand, he's the only cast member who doesn't live in Vancouver while they are shooting. He flies in for his shooting days and then goes back to his home. He clearly has things that keep him elsewhere when he's not working on Smaville so maybe it wouldn't break his heart to leave either.

How about Allison Mack? If Chloe is the one, would she like to return to LA and get other work? Yeah, probably.... She hasn't any major work outside Smallville since signing on. She's complained in the press about movies always not panning out almost every hiatus, so she might welcome leaving and getting on with doing outside stuff.
