It came out in 2002,and yet its in limbo

we know

Same thing heppened with Spider-Man/Black Cat, which Smith eventually finished

he'll either get back to Target and finish it... or he won't

Daredevil Target? Hmmmmmm... Oh! You mean the series Kevin Smith asked Quesada to write as a follow up to Guardian Devil. The series that delayed Bendis using Bullseye because Smith wanted to write their next confrontation? Yeah, might come out sometime in the next ten years or so. Get out of your parents basement and meet a girl, dammit!

hey, lay off a little, af15, he just asked a question

But that's what Kevin Smith will say if you ask him about his long delayed series.

I've heard Kevin say that too, but he usually does it with a wink and a smile, and that comment comes from having people asking him nonstop for 4 years. He's admitted he's an ass for not having it done yet.

I dont understand why people commit to a series and dont finish it, for whatever reason (aside from berevemeant), and why, in that case, marvel dont just wait till its written and publish it as a special event type tpb.

because Kevin took the assignment when he was inbetween movies and had a window of free time wherein he thought he could complete the scripts, but he ended up falling behind and had other obligations

No but why not say 'hey i cant make deadlines, can you wait till i wrote it all?' Its not fair to fans to ship out a series and then not finish it.

Like I said - he had a window of time in which he THOUGHT he could finish the scripts, and he was mistaken.

Smiths name on a book equates to immidiate sales for Marvel, there's no way they'd just say "Eh, sorry Kevin, but come back in 4 years"

Also Spidey/Black Cat and Daredevil Target were published as extra promotions for their respective movies. Smith even went on Leno to promote the first issue of Spidey/Black Cat.
