Ren & Stimpy vs Beavis & Butthead vs The Simpsons vs South Park

Simpsons, though it's sucky now.

This poll closes next year, why?

Though I really liked Ren & Stimpy, it just didn't hold up for me over time. South Park was great for the first few seasons but i lost interest in it and never really got it back. Beavis and Butthead was funny, just not really my thing. The Simpsons though I've loved since the Tracey Ullman days, even through the "sucky" seasons (though i will admit to not having seen much from this season or last...I don't get t.v. stations).

BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD!!!
I love when they're at the Hoover Dam and Butthead is like, "Is this a goddamn?"

The Simpsons = The father
Beavis & Butthead = The ******ed brother
Ren & Stimpy = The Uncle that might rape you in your sleep.
South Park = The Heir to the throne.

There is no comparison.

Ren and Stimpy + Beavis and Butthead for nostalgia, simpsons obviously has some pretty lame episodes of late. South Park is the only one i can watch any episode of and laugh, even woodland critters episode!

The Simpsons and South Park are the smartest of those shows, though Ren and Stimpy just can't be beaten for the nostalgia factor.

I had to go with The Simpsons in the end, though.

The Simpsons.
The rest are too crude for my taste.

I watch simpsons practically everyday, i just love the show.

But i do like the others especially South Park and B&B, those shows have me on the floor.

Gone with the Simpsons, the best out of the rest.
Never enjoyed the rest, as SpeedballLives mentioned, they're too crude for my tastes.

damn....

personally, i love simpsons (pre-2000) and ren and stimpy (spumco episodes.)

South Park easy for me, Simpsons has ruined itself, Ren and Stimpy was too lightweight and B&B sucks IMO.

South Park really evolved to become a superior show, whereas Simpsons is stale.

I gave it to Ren & Stimpy. I figured Simpsons would get the votes that it rightly deserves, as it has been a smart, subversive critique of the modern American family at it's high points (without relying on cheap wit nearly as much as Family Guy does). I hate South Park, it was good back when it started, but now it's so goddamn self-righteous and it is guilty of everything it makes fun of other people for doing. Beavis & Butthead rules, but Ren & Stimpy win for one simple reason: of all those cartoons, Ren & Stimpy was the only one that got away with what it did on a kid's network. It's one thing to be subversive and crude, it's another thing to be subversive and crude on Nickelodean. Nobody is anywhere near as bold as that creative team was nowadays, and that makes me sad.

Of course, give me Rocko's Modern Life and Daria and it gets tougher.

Rocko's and Daria? King of the Hill at a push, but Daria?

Each to his own.

Rocko's Modern Life was absolutely brilliant. Jokes about prostitution, closeted gays, adultery, Jews, the corporate rat race, phone sex, postal worker shootings, angel dust, oil spills, immigration, and *********ion (among other things) and all of it was in a kid's show. It is honestly the most subversive cartoon I can think of by far. As for Daria, all I can say is that I wish I had watched that when I was younger, because it would have made both middle school and high school so much easier.

Fair enough, I just couldn't get past Daria's REALLY annoying m-o-n-o-t-o-n-e voice.

My vote goes with the Simpsons. I guess I relate to them better than the rest...
