1. IF YOU CAN'T SEE THE OBVIOUS DIFFERENCE IN DETAIL AND TEXTURE LEVELS, YOU NEED HELP.
2. IF ANYTHING, "UP CLOSE" DETAIL SHOULD BE MORE PRONOUNCED, IN AN HD IMAGE......NOT COMPLETELY MISSING.
3. IF IT LOOKS THIS BAD "UP CLOSE" IN A SCREEN SHOT SMALLER THAN MY 14" MONITOR.......HOW DO YOU THINK IT'S GOING TO LOOK BLOWN UP ON MY 55" T.V.?

I think the size has something to do with that. If the shot you posted were as close up as the Resistance shot you posted, the detail would look less pronounced.

Looking at the shots you posted, for all the criticism thrown at Resistance, it still looks better. Those Doom shots were shabby. Far shabbier than the Resistance ever have been.

For one it has ambient lighting. Something RESISTANCE totally lacks.

I posted that as an example of the quality model work in DOOM3. There is no low poly excuses in him nor is there any 'texture bending' because the programmers are too lazy to do proper model work.

Yup, size definitely had something to do with that. Now we have a closeups of both the Hell Knight and the Chimera and voila! Suddenly the details in the Resistance model looks better! No wait...it doesn't.
