Even if he did bring us visual proof, we have no reason to trust his judgement and hence, will not take his word for it. Whereas the things we say don't need to be proved yet still make a case for them being very much likely.

Oh and just to let people know Resistance is using in-game graphics for their cinemas as well. However Rachel Parker is telling the story and telling you that Nathan Hale has mysteriously disappeared and can't be found.
