Resonance...
Physics.
a.the state of a system in which an abnormally large vibration is produced in response to an external stimulus, occurring when the frequency of the stimulus is the same, or nearly the same, as the natural vibration frequency of the system.
The Dark Knight has made me think...
There were a few scenes that made me think of many other things which I have seen and heard in my life, both in real life and other movies I have seen...
I can give you true examples...
When the Joker speaks in the interrogation room of appreciating life... it was ironic to me that Gary Oldman said pretty much the same thing to Matilda in LEON before he was about to kill her in the bathroom scene... another movie about a Dark Knight in my eyes... Its where I feel the resonance...
At the end when it is the Jokers who are the innocent people... all tied up... The same scene in METRO where Eddie Murphy plays a hostage negotiator. It is an innocent man who is dressed as the bank robber and the guilty party has no mask on... Also this made me consider the prologue... in a bank and no one wearing a mask leaves the bank alive... thats if you believe the true face of the Joker to be the one he is wearing when he gets on the bus... Once again this resonates to me...
Finally,
In my own life I have lost faith on occasion and I have battled through it. The Batman made a tough decision in the end... We all have made a tough decision... I remembered mine...
My question is simple... Where have you felt resonance in The Dark Knight?
In Good Spirit...
