Superman Returns Return To Krypton (Deleted Scene)

so i guess the original opening sequence with the comic book and the news paper headlines isnt in there. i am sure they are just setting the stage for a full dvd release

Pics look good. I cant justify buying the whole set again though.

You can get the whole set through Amazon.co.uk for just over $55 in US dollars and that's shipped. Plus they completely re-mastered the original movies. So they will have both better visuals and the audio was also re-mastered.

I'm surprised that the clip hasn't made its way online as of yet.

I agree. I figured that it would have made it's way online right after those screenshots were shown.

You wouldn't believe on how many times I've refreshed google searches and youtube searches to see if this video has shown up. I mean i've seen people upload videos of them recording themselves going through the HD menus of the CR blue ray films, but not ONE clip or even bootleg of the RTK sequence.

those screenshots looks rad. cant wait for this to turn up online. im sure a fan edit wont be too far behind, ha.

Well, having purchased the Blu Ray Anthology yesterday, I quickly went right to the gem of the set for me, and that's the Return to Krypton sequence.

Firstly, it is 100% completely finished. From the score to the visual effects, totally finished.

Secondly, it's going to break your heart that this sequence is not in the film because it's eerie as hell but kind of beautiful.

If I had cut this film, it would've went like this:

WB/Legendary Pictures/DC logos then right into the opening text that summarizes Superman to the audience. After that, fade right into this sequence. When Superman finds the coordinates for Earth and the spacecraft zooms past the camera, I'd lead right into the opening credits but as they were originally planned with the credits inter cut with Daily Planet clippings of what's been going on since he's been gone, ending with a visual of the "Why the World Doesn't Need Superman" article by Lois.
When Singer's name shows up as director and we smash right into Earth, I'd fade right into the starry night of Smallville and the house of Kent as we pan down to the Kent farm and then go right into the scene of Martha washing dishes, when suddenly the house starts to shake.

That opening would've been perfect.

When Kal-El sees the destroyed crest of the House of El on Krypton, it's a great moment and Routh sells the hell out of that moment.

Damn! Now I want to see it even more! I wish someone would post this thing already online!:cmad:

I REALLY want to see it. I always thought Routh was perfect for the brooding kind of Superman that Singer wanted, he was great at showing emotion without words. Really looking forward to it.

Loved the scene...Routh doesn't say a word but his performance speaks volumes.

Someone needs to make a cut of this film with this scene added in.

I'm in a pinch though. If it were to come online, I'm not sure that I would want to watch it, for the first time on a small screen and most likely in standard def. I have it on preorder from the Amazon UK website, and I really want to see it for the first time in all it's HD glory. However, if it does come online, I don't know if I would be able to resist watching it. Man, I hate decisions like that, lol.

Where the hell is it?????????????? It should be online already, ive refreshed this page so much that I think I need to go to the bathroom and refresh MYSELF .. LOL anyway, here is something interesting I found: Never seen this myself,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35RRCZ00hWQ&feature=related

Look at the first deleted SR scene, Iv'e never seen that before, was that in the comic con footage, does anybody have that? And the last scene where Supes is quietly watching ... Ive seen that, and I wonder where it was in the film originally

Bottom line: SR could have been such a better movie.

Same here. I don't know if I'll be able to resist. :oldrazz: The good thing is, even though it costs a little extra, I've used the express shipping and I should have the set on Tuesday (I always get my orders the next day when using that option). I can't wait!

the first part of that footage is NOT from the film. It's part of a battery commercial.lol

And like others have said...SOMEONE PLEASE GET THE RTK SEQUENCE ONLINE ASAP!

why isnt this on youtube yet?!

I've been asking that for DAYS now.lol Seriously, it's freaking unbelievable that NO ONE has uploaded the damn clip yet. I mean, it's pretty much as if it were never really released to begin with.

bought a blu-ray player and the Superman Anthology today... saw the clip...

i must admit... and i never thought I'd say this concerning this movie... I THOROUGHLY enjoyed every single second of this deleted scene.

it needed to me in the movie regardless if it fit or not

Come on now, you would be doing yourself a disservice by watching a recording. If I had a capture card, I would upload it in HD, but I don't. I just find it hard to believe that nobody has captured it yet.
