Wealth, beauty and status define the people in this town, but one woman is willing to destroy everyone for the sake of revenge. Emily Thorne (Emily Van Camp) is new to the Hamptons. She's met some of her wealthy neighbors, has made a few new friends and seemingly blends into the town. But something is a little odd about a young girl living in a wealthy town all on her own, and the truth is that Emily isn't exactly new to the neighborhood. In fact, this was once her old neighborhood, until something bad happened that ruined her family and their reputation. Now Emily is back, and she's returned to right some of those wrongs in the best way she knows how - with a vengeance.

"Revenge" stars Madeleine Stowe ("We Were Soldiers," "The Last of the Mohicans") as Victoria Grayson, Emily Van Camp ("Brothers & Sisters," "Everwood") as Emily Thorne, Gabriel Mann ("The Bourne Identity") as Nolan Ross, Henry Czerny ("Mission: Impossible," "Clear and Present Danger") as Conrad Grayson, Ashley Madekwe ("Secret Diary of a Call Girl") as Ashley Davenport, Nick Wechsler ("Roswell") as Jack Porter, Josh Bowman ("Prowl") as Daniel Grayson, Christa B. Allen ("13 Going on 30") as Charlotte Grayson and Connor Paolo ("Gossip Girl") as Declan Porter. "Revenge" is written and executive-produced by Mike Kelley ("Swingtown"), along with executive producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey ("Twilight"). The pilot is directed and executive-produced by Phillip Noyce ("Salt"). "Revenge" is produced by ABC Studios.

The OC meets Dynasty! :D

Just watched the pilot episode. The show was okay. Not brilliant but not too bad. Just so-so. It was intriguing enough to watch until the end of the episode. It felt a bit more satisfying when she took out that photo and crossed off her first victim, and it also showed the flashback of her posing as that maid and poisoning the husband, which was a bit like Leverage. That makes me curious to see how she'll dispatch each person week after week in a different way.

However, I wonder how long this series can last. Does Emily/Amanda have hundreds of enemies upon whom she must take revenge? Either some people will take more than an episode, or she'll soon run out of people to destroy. How will this last several seasons? Maybe it should've been a mini series.

I'll tune in again next episode to see what happens and how it develops.

Is no-one else watching this? Just watched the 2nd episode last night. It does seem a bit like Leverage with these little "cons" she has going on each week. Madeline Stowe's character seems to be already onto her that something's not right.

I'm watching it. I love this show so far. Hunter is right, it's kind of The OC meets Dynasty with a lot of Count of Monte Cristo.

I just realised something. This show could've been called "The Graysons". :D

Wasn't there going to be a show with that name about Dick Grayson and his family, before it got axed at the concept stage? Maybe this is what it morphed into. ;)

It was a show about Dick before he met Bruce and became Robin. Stupid concept, IMO.

Hiroyuki Sanada, who appeared in the final season of Lost, has booked a recurring role on ABC's Revenge, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Sanada, who portrayed one of the Others, Dogen, will play Kioshi Takeda, a Japanese businessman with ties to Emily Thorne (Emily Van Camp). Also known for his starring role in The Last Samurai opposite Tom Cruise and Ken Watanabe, the actor will first appear in Episode 9.

Executive-produced by Mike Kelley, the contemporary take on The Count of Monte Cristo debuted to 10.15 million viewers. Its latest outing on Wednesday drew 7.9 million viewers, prompting ABC to pick up the freshman series for a full season.

Revenge airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on ABC.

I love this show. It's probably my new favorite show of the fall season. Can't wait to see how everything is tied up by episode 13.

That's if it gets that far before being cancelled. I don't know what the ratings have been like for this show.

I don't know how everything can be tied up by episode 13 though. Wouldn't that mean the end of the show? Maybe it means only the immediate events leading up to the death of Daniel Grayson, which was initially shown in the pilot episode.

If it's all tied up in the sense that Emily has gotten revenge on everyone she needs to and Victoria knows her identity, then there's nothing much left to tell.

Two posts above you.

The creator of the show said that the second half of the season would deal with a new revenge plot. Something will happen during these first 13 episodes to set up the second half of the season. I'm assuming by episode 13, Victoria will know that Emily is really Amanda.

Unless it is Emily getting revenge for whoever killed Daniel. It would be a bit silly for the 2nd half to be about Victoria getting revenge on Emily, otherwise then the 2nd season would be about Emily getting revenge on Victoria for getting revenge on her because she got revenge on Victoria in the first place. It would be a never-ending vicious circle of revenge.

It's been one of the highest rated shows this year 13 million I believe even beating out CSI in it's timeslot to boot last week! It's doing great has already been ordered for a full season.

I love this show BTW.

Thank Gs this has been picked up for a full season since im loving it to death. Plus its ABCs only new drama this year that has actually done somewhat decent in ratings.

That's a pretty good performance. A lot of the other new shows haven't done so well.

I wonder if it's to do with its premise or the characters or actors? Or perhaps the setting?

A bit of all that I would think, it is also moving fast, every episode one character his getting his/her due.

That's why I've said before it's a little bit like Leverage. I wouldn't have minded a little more of a con each week with other people being involved.

I think Victoria is soon going to find out that Emily is behind each of these schemes, even if she doesn't realise she's Amanda yet.

Never saw Leverage.

Victoria is already more than suspicious about Emily having a hand in the events surrounding her.

Very true. Perhaps everyone understands her drive and the leads play off eachother really well is why it's doing so well.

Me to Emily VanCamp is my new tv crush.:o

So Lydia got herself thrown off the roof of her apartment. That would have to have happened though, as she discovered Emily's secret.

I wonder if Nolan will be accused of commiting the crime, if anyone saw him on the rooftop when he went to peer over.

There wasn't really anyone new that Emily was getting revenge on this week. She just seemed to be tying up loose ends and framing Lydia for last week's revenge plot and everything else so far.

Won't Victoria and Conrad catch onto the fact that more people are getting their comeuppance even when Lydia is dead, leading them to conclude that maybe it wasn't her behind everything after all?

^Or maybe they'll Amanda/Emily will frame her to show Lydia had some kind of accomplace. Made it so even if she died info and the plot against Victoria would still go through.

Anyone else get the feeling that Daniel's best friend Tyler might be a bit gay? He seems to resent and even be jealous of Emily spending all this time with Daniel, and even seems to try to get Daniel alone with himself. Also it looked like he was going to try something when Daniel was drugged and passing out.

On another note it looks like Emily has been found out as being behind things.

I didnt get that vibe off of him. But I do want to know what Daniel did to him or one of his friends to try to constantly get him off the deep edge.
