That's actually not ludiscrous at all.

Photoshop artists are encouraged to keep a canvas with all of the raw images they used so that they can showcase the amount of manipulation in a given image. I've seen it done hundreds of times

Ludicrous? I don't think so. You used existing photographs of the Harry Potter films which already had been edited by the studio's graphic designers. You took these images to create something yourself. I want to see what you used. Is THAT ludicrous?

What is important is the final concept, its not a competition of manipulation skills its a showcase for concepts and ideas

Then perhaps instead of asking for comments on your work....you should have said PRAISE ME PRAISE ME PRAISE ME FOR I AM THE BESTEST IN TEH WORLD AND NOTHING LESS THAN TOTAL IDOLATION WILL BE ALLOWED....

You're the one who came in with the attitude. You asked for people to review your work...and the first person who politely says that he can't make an informed decision until he sees what all you incorporated into your picture...you call ludicrous. This is the FANART forum. People go into great detail about how and why they do thier artwork. This is a place for discussion and sharing of ideas....but that's apparently not what you came here for.

When photoshopping is used in your fanart...then a review of your photoshopping skills is part of the total package.

Did I ask for every single image? No. Take 2-3 of 'your' posters and show us what source images you've used. I'm not saying the stuff you posted is bad but I can only give my opinion (which was asked for) when I see what work you did.

The source images you've used are photoshopped to death by the studio's designers so I want to see what YOU did.
