Toys R Us is pulling a toy off the shelves after a scary situation for a Bellingham family.
The Hardens bought a Tonka truck from Toys R Us as a Christmas present for the grandson Friday night. On the drive home, they say it ignited in flames.
They stopped at a rest area to put out the fire, but when they drove back to Toys R Us to return the toy, it burst into flames again and set their truck on fire.
"The firefighter ... doused the truck with water and I'm, I still can't believe it, we almost shut I-5 down, and it was just a toy for our grandson, who would have known," says Delmond Harden.

The family says Toys R Us apologized and will give them a refund.
The company responded with this statement:

"Although this appears to be an isolated incident, out of an abundance of caution we are implementing a stop-sale and pulling the item from our stores and Toysrus.com pending further investigation. In the meantime, we are working closely with Dynacraft, the manufacturer, to determine the cause."

Someone would be paying to fix any damage to my truck. A simple refund wouldnt be enough.

What the hell is with everything exploding these day?

I wish this happened with something that doesn't have batteries.

Just wait until this hits the adult toy section.

Samsung did it first! :argh:
