Very sad. I wonder what happened - all I can find is that she 'died unexpectedly'. RIP Stephanie Niznik

My first thought was suicide. But it could have been a heart attack, aneurysm, or stroke.

Those deaths always bug me because people drive crazy as ****. Anytime you cross the street you gotta hope they're pretty decent drivers.

Stephen Verona, who co-wrote, co-directed and produced The Lords of Flatbush, the 1974 film that provided a career boost for young actors Sylvester Stallone and Henry Winkler, has died at the age of 78.

Verona died on Saturday at his home in Los Angeles after an 18-month battle with lung cancer, according to his wife, Ann.

Verona had served for a short time as a director at Lee Strasberg's famed Actors Studio, and a 17-minute live-action short film he produced, directed and wrote about that experience, The Rehearsal, earned him an Oscar nomination in 1972.

Stephen Verona, 'Lords of Flatbush' Writer, Director and Producer, Dies at 78

    RIP

David Hedison, best known for his starring role as Captain Crane in the popular ’60s adventure TV series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, died on July 18 in Los Angeles. He was 92.

His death was announced by his daughters Alexandra and Serena, who were at his side when he “passed away peacefully,” the family reports.

In addition to Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Hedison appeared in many TV and film productions, including playing CIA agent Felix Leiter in the James Bond films Live and Let Die (1973, with Roger Moore), and Licence to Kill (opposite Timothy Dalton, in 1989).

I met him at a convention around 10 years ago. He was very open and friendly. Had a smile on his face every time I saw him. RIP to Mr. Hedison.

I saw Blade Runner in the cinema with my dad. It was the first time either of us had seen Hauer and he amazed us. I always felt he should have become an even bigger name than he did, but I'm thankful for the performances he gave us (including those Guinness commercials!).

    RIP Rutger Hauer
