I was listening to this, very sad news. He was an outstanding journalist and fine man. He will be missed.

................I don't know who that is..............

 :csad: He was a great reporter and a very articulate man.

My favorite memory of him is when he was reporting on the reopening of the Emmitt Till case. If you're familiar with that story the young african american boy suffered a tragic/horrible death at the hands of racists.

He was beaten beyond the recognition of a young boy and the story is a very sad one. In any case, when Ed Bradley went to the womans house(who reported to the police, her husband, and his friends that he whistled at her) to ask her questions and why she did what she did, her racist redneck son came out and threatened Ed Bradley with his life.

He says "You better leave boy, something bad will happen to you" and like a bad ass Ed Bradley just stands there looking at him. He had a very serious look on his face and the redneck went inside.

Ed Bradley was the man.

Hell yeah, he was badass. He wore an earring in his ear no matter what.

The suit he's wearing in the first post just projects badassery. How many 60-year-old men do you see sporting pinstripes?

Who will read from the teleprompter now? :csad:

Now way! It won't be the same without him (and yes, I actually do watch it).

Good journalism is a step closer to extinction :(.

What the Hell?
He can't die before Mike Wallace, Morley Safer and Andy Rooney.
Lame.
He was awesome.

Damn, that sucks. :csad:
What a great lost.
R.I.P.

Me too, good voice.
Also he was the only 60 Minutes guy to wear an earring during interviews.

that was the first thing i was gonna write, too. but then i heard his voice recounting whatever stories i have buried in my brain and i thought 'he had a great reporter voice'.

i don't think i noticed that earring till the early-mid-90's. wonder when he got it?

edit: wiki: "He had his left ear pierced in 1986 and says he was inspired to do it after receiving encouragement from Liza Minnelli following an interview."
