I do not personally know either of these men so I am not sure which is 'acting' better. If I had to choose I would say... Al Pacino.

worst poll ever

it is impossible, I would say Deniro cause he doesn't always play a cop or gangster, but for the most part he does, but that doesn't justify not voting for Pacino, who is nothing short of spectacular in everything. Terrible poll both are fantastic, lets just leave it at that

Both are awesome but I think Dinero is a much more diverse actor.

lol i agree its a bad poll, i was just itching to make it sorry :ninja:

I haven't seen as many DeNiro movies as Pacino movies but Pacino impresses me. DeNiro hasn't.

Great actors both. But if I have to choose I choose Al Pacino

DeNiro gets my vote. GoodFellas is thee best mafia movie.

Its a shame their best work is behind them. I'd have to say De Niro because I like more of his movies, and they tend to be ballsier roles (Deer Hunter, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull) and he gets to show more range.

Both are top of the list though...

Both. Impossible to chose only one of those two screen legends.

Al: godfather triology, scarface, scarecrow,,dog day's afternoon, serpico, carlitos way, glengarry glenn rose, scent of woman, donnie brasco, and justice for all, author author!, heat, the insider.

Bobby: godfather part two, mean streets, taxi driver, the deer hunter, ranging bull, goodfellas, casino, the mission, cape fear, heat, aweknings, once upon a time in america.

Impossible to chose only one.

Mmmmmmmmm.

I give it to DeNiro.

He is capable of subtle acting and even comedy. He has vastly superior range and a better back list of movies.

Pacino is class but tends to yell his way through a performance.

Nothing against you my friend, its the poll i hate

I haven't picked yet, and probably won't in protest:yay:

It's like picking the best movie ever, you can't there are too many variables that go into the desicion, and like everyone has been saying...Goodfellas is the best mafia movie ever, well...godfathers I think can boast that claim to, I'm not saying one is better then the other, but both are great. Insomnia is insanley perfect, Midnight Run is gold, Raging Bull and The Insider are two of my favorite movies ever. We lose no matter who wins this poll

and whoever says Pacino just shouts his way through his movies is a joke. Just cause Scarface is his most popular movie, that doesn't mean it is what he does in every movie. I would argue Scarface is his worst popular movie, and a terrible disservice to his talents if that is how you gauge how good he is.

I can't stand Pacino, so DeNiro gets my vote.

Pacino. Michael Corleone is the best acted character I've ever seen. Followed by Chuck Noland.

See I can argue this for eternity, what about Willem Dafoe as Max Schrek in Shadow of the Vampire? What about Robin Williams in dead poets society? What about Jake the Snake? Atticus Finch?

nah i like my 2 better.

Not taking anything away from Pacino, but I would love to see him try and pull off Max Schrek

Oh I have.

And if Pacino had given a few more performances such as that my choice may have been different.
