I can't wait. I really enjoyed The Northman, but the smaller and condensed period piece setting feels like eggers playground and I'm so happy we are returning to that.

It's like no one gives a crud about the movies released in the first quarter of the year for bigger awards.
Yeah they usually don't, not without the studio giving it a serious push. Seems like Focus Features basically wrote the film off as a bust only to be pleasantly surprised by its streaming numbers later on. The latter is probably the only reason we're even getting Nosferatu now.

But yeah, The Northman slaps. And the sound design is incredible. My brother and I saw the film in Dolby and the sound had us rocking. You walk out of that movie wanting to go boxing or something.

Curious how they're going to translate "19th century romanticism" into a film aesthetic.
